Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

I could say it a million times over. Tell me exactly where the club has publicly said we want players. The only public line has ever been that Charlie is not for trade.

Now obviously, the behind closed doors is different. But not once has the club publicly said we want players.

From where I sit right now, the worst-case scenario in terms of the offer from Sydney looks like Pick 11, F1, Hayward, and Florent.

However, I’m more interested in what our plans are for Picks 10 and 11, especially with the Harry Dean and Jack Ison implications in play.

I can’t see us heading to the draft holding both of those picks and I’d expect one of the following to happen:

• Trade up to secure a pick before likely bid territory (unlikely)
• Trade out for future capital in 2026 (likely)
• Trade for a mature player to help sell the Charlie deal to the members and media etc (very likely).

What sort of operation is GW running here if our own GM is having to read through the tea leaves?
