Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

I think D'Oratzio is the middle man here pulling all the strings. Even if we have received no formal offer he'd be going back and forth between the clubs, working towards something thats acceptable.

I have Melbourne getting pick 7 + 8 for Trac, but in reality, their first choice comes at #10... our 11 goes back to 14... so yes, Grjl is a very outside chance, but given his combine results, I think we'd be really lucky for him to land there.

Robey has gathered too much momentum, he isn't sliding that far.

Can't see Lindsay as one of the best kicks in the draft lasting outside the first 10 picks either.

Correct, rankings including the Academy picks. We'll get a better idea from Twomey in the leadup to the draft of course, but those rankings indicate that a lot of the "experts" are judging one of Lindsay/Grlj lasting to Pick 14 (where we'd be picking), or the pick just before it. One club reaching for a player type, or liking the intangibles of a player currently assessed as 15+, and those chances improve again.

I like both those guys for us too, but I'd probably be equally satisfied if we came away with a Dovaston, Farrow, Schubert or Cumming instead.
