Exactly on the last point. If he was a Sun, and we were going after him. The AFL would be handing out some kind of compensation pick for their northern darlings. But as usual being the small club, we are told to suck it up and accept it.

Have you ever seen such a thing? Port had a player die and received nothing. Tarryn Thomas is probably a closer analogue. North got nothing for him when he had to go. Sometimes thems the breaks.

The industry puts these young guys in the spotlight with lots of fame and money and sometimes they can't cope. It is just another way that some players don't reach their full potential.

As much as I would love JUH to be thriving at the dogs, I would rather have him tear it up at GC after going for peanuts then see him crash out young and continue down the dark path he is on.

Fit Harmes (Hopefully) Davidson Jaques and Florent going through the wing could work well

I hope we go back to Davidson on a wing, prefer him there then at half forward. Not sure what version of Harmes we get next year but i hope he takes McNeil's spot. Jaques i like on the wing and hopefully he gets a few games next year.

Why are people here wishing Jamarra well? We're not a charity. He's screwed over our club and yet again with this 'deal' we are being screwed over.

The only feeling I have is anger. This is a number 1 draft pick who was a major contributor to us losing a cutthroat final, took 900k of our money for no return and has resulted in us getting two fifths of bugger all.

No sympathy, no goodwill, nothing.

As for the AFL, thanks for screwing us over again.

I agree to an extent.

Hope he gets his life on track, stays safe and deals with whatever he has to and he's happy and content.

As for wishing him well as a footballer on the field no way. I prefer he retires and moves on with his life.

He has wronged the club in so many ways.

As big a Pollyanna as I have been when it comes to Jamarra. And Ive ben a big one. I honestly don't see a scenario where a guy who has used the passing of 12 people from his community as a crutch for his inability to get his mental health issues under control. Is going to be able to revive his once promising career away from the support structures that he's said are integral to his well being and return to the game.

VDM is the one who is frustrating. Few years back I actually thought he showed a bit but really he hasn't improved. Though it annoys me when he is running his mouth out on the field when he has hardly had a kick

Still hold out small hope VDM can find his form of first 6 weeks but McNeil will be playing majority of the year in the 2s unless we have huge injury list in which case we are ****ed then anyway

I don't mind the price, but considering we have Butters, West, Cooney and El Souki to trade / draft next year, and no one is going to take 2027 draft picks, can we afford to give it up?

I agree on the back 7. I also prefer some grunt or hieght on the wing to hopefully help stop the runs of goals we give up.

The only thing we need to keep in mind is that florent is on a long healthy contract and the buyer would need to take all of it.
