Delisted Callum Ah Chee - Joins Adelaide via the PSD

One of our academy players is a top-5 player at the Crom according to their BnF, which is the only way to value players!
Those academy propped up clubs need to be stopped!

Hes not going anywhere else.
Unlike the old days where Stevens was taken by Carlton, player managers have far more power and influence than they have ever had.
Ben will be on the phone to all other clubs telling them that if they take CAC in the PSD then it could hurt them when it comes to another one of his players.

Just to give an idea of how much managers feature, while you have two clubs trying to come up with a deal, the managers are also talking to other clubs about possible deals they could be doing to get the trade done.
Its a very different world.

Makes you wonder why every player isn't just walked to the draft by their managers or if contracted, such as Merrett, clubs even bother negotiating a trade. Essendon should have just accepted the crumbs Hawthorn threw them, now they're in trouble with Petroro.

I’ve reliably been told that a contingent of Power staff including Cripps, Stewart Dew and Jason Williams alongside players Rozee, SPP and Jase Burgoyne are going to meet with Ah Chee to discuss the potential of joining the Power.

Go Power; what a delightful thing to hear. Reid and BB Ben can say all the like but BB Ben won’t give a crap provided Cal is supportive of the move and getting paid what Crows were offering and Reid and his numpty club will be sitting back thinking what if.

Let’s be honest, it’s not like the Power owe the Criws anything. Too funny if Power pull this off.

Stuart Dew moving there is a big plus for them.
He knows Ah Chee well and can give Port Adelaide a leg up in discussions.

Just accept the fact that he didnt want to go to Port Power.

He doesn't want to go to Port Power. Move on.

It really doesn’t matter what he wants when it comes to entering the PSD. Doesn’t matter how many times you state it, it doesn’t change the fact that he’s now lost his bargaining position and puts him in a very uncertain position as a player.

If another club is willing to use their pick and accept whatever contract terms are set out. He will go there, regardless of what he wants. If a team selects him and he rejects the contract, he has no choice but to sit out for a year. Players don’t get to pick and choose teams in the PSD. They can set their terms yes, but any other club that wants to meet those terms, can select that player.

Doesn’t happen often because decent players don’t often enter the PSD but he’s anyone’s game. So it’s completely irrelevant if he doesn’t want to go to Port or not. If he’s available and Port deems it’s in their best interest, they’ll take him.

Bulldogs are keen too.

Cal won't be playing at Adelaide next season

Josh Carr would go for it. New boss in town, time to make his mark with adding more talent.
I don't think he'll hold the door for Ah Chee to get to crows in PSD.

I think Port and Carlton are the dark horses, Carlton having a massive cap opening with Curnow departure. Essendon too, bombers have been screaming for more readymade talent additions, Ah Chee will be a freebie blessing for them.

West Coast seem to be a bit soft and are already giving up on the chase. So weird for a club trying to get out of bottom of the ladder.

Irrelevant as you had an earlier selection but I blame the AFL more! Future picks should have been allowed decades ago, that would have sorted it out.

We were allowed to trade future picks in the Dawson deal...

The moment Dawson decided he was out of Sydney and going to Adelaide no matter what, you lost all leverage in that deal. Not too dissimilar to Ah Chee, really. After all, what's fair lowers dramatically the moment the player has decided that they're willing to punch in the nuclear codes on their relationship with their current club and is out of contract.

Brisbane have gambled that Ah Chee is bluffing with wanting PSD, and at the moment, it looks like they've misread the room.

Adelaide steering the narrative away from their junk offer which they wouldn’t budge on and PSD threats and bringing Cals family into it to further that narrative is a bit unpalatable. Effectively saying that Brisbane should have just accepted whatever the Crom were offering.

For anyone that knows Cal he is a very humble and low key guys so I don’t expect he would be fond of this tact. Interesting approach.

Anything we've said has been vetted by Cal's management team (which is usually how this public commentary play out). We are not going to do a damn thing to jeopardize Cal's going to PSD, and Cal's management are not going to do a damn thing to jeopardize the pay day they'll get from the Adelaide contract.

It's funny watching Adelaide supporters comfort themselves saying Port won't do it because of Nasiah. Nasiah is no guarantee to go for a trade anywhere in 2 years time and there is also no guarantees of him selecting power either.

Ah Chee is real and here in PSD for free - I believe Power and Josh Carr will do what's best for their club.

Absolutely they will be and what’s interesting, despite all this rhetoric from Crows fans that CAC and his BB manager won’t talk to anyone, once the dust settles and their annoyance at both Adelaide and Brisbane subsides in 24-48 hours, they will most certainly listen to alternatives and other offers even just to understand them. Any rational person would do just that.

You’d think Port will be in the box seat given they are in SA but this is what Adelaide has exposed themselves to by thinking they’ll simply walk him to the PSD.

Who knows, CAC may still wind up at Adelaide, but why would you risk it. What it says is that you don’t value CAC all that highly if this is your strategy. FWIW, Port will be giving this a red hot crack despite what has publicly been said.

CAC and his manager has made it very clear he's not irritated at Adelaide and that the dust settled a long time ago here. We don't have a joint interview together to announce he's going to PSD if he was. CAC and his management have known this is potentially on the table for a while (seeing we've been at an impasse for a while) and have decided that they want to go this route if it was to come to this.

If CAC and his management communicated that he potentially could be swayed back to Brisbane, or they were concerned about PSD, we become a lot more open to dealing our first round pick in a downgrade.

Get Ah Chee for free. Dom show everyone what a prick he is. Nicks does something stupid again so he gets sacked and we get an early 2nd rounder and draft a player who turn out to be a gun. The trifecta.

We don't have any issues recruiting midfield talent. Dawson, Rankine, Peatling et al.
We dont have a nice academy like you to get first shot at tho.
Form is fleating, so dont jinx yourself.
As soon as the first whistle is blown in the 2026 season, the 2025 premiership won't matter.

You missed out on a lot of talent - Trac, Oliver, Draper..

I’d be nervous if I was a Crows fan. A silly list manager that doesn’t know the rules and can’t attract elite talent.

It suggests that a re-build is closer than a flag is for you lot.

Man who has committed to club on life changing offer not publicly critical of club.

He's not even privately critical.

Callum Ah Chee is going to PSD because Callum and his management were happy to go to PSD to get to Adelaide.

I don’t know which ITK Crom poster to believe now. The one who says he was happy to go into the psd and the one who said he was livid. It changes hour by hour!

Reid confirmed pick 29 was agree with Port Power (likely involving F2) but Brisbane knocked it back so the trade didn't happened, what a prick Dom is.

That’s what they’ve said publicly but that was almost 24 hours ago. Things are shifting and Port and other clubs are rightfully trying to move in, which is their right given Adelaide has now exposed all concerned parties by not getting this done when you had the chance.

As for Brisbane, we don’t care that we aren’t getting junk picks despite your assertion we misread the room. Laughable.

You've misread the room because you've tried to get Callum to resign. The picks are mostly irrelevant to both parties. If you were dead certain Ah Chee was taking PSD, you take the picks close to our offer (after all, junk picks are better than nothing). If we're not certain willing to punch in the nuclear codes to get to us, we do a lot more to accomodate your demands.

Nothing's shifted in the last 24 hours. Clubs will no doubt do their due diligence (as they did beforehand), but all Ah Chee and his management has to do is refuse medical/contact and we're home free.

And Adelaide doesn't care that Brisbane doesn't care. This is water under the bridge in about a week.

Draper is "talent" lol. You should say that to Essendon supporters for a giggle. Oliver is a shadow of himself, this was unknown until this year. Even Geelong cooled on him when he went for a 3rd rounder with Melbourne paying $750K of his salary.

After being underpaid all of his career v output, the Lions have really ****ed him over. He deserves a great paying contract to end his career. Hope he puts a price on his head and walks.

Draper? Talent?

Most crows supporters didn’t want him. Especially post Achilles.
