Blues had an awful season, lost key players yet here we are in a thread about finals' aspirations in 2026

Not sure replacing a marquee ruckman with a plodder you already had, plus not recruiting a replacement for Curnow, is going to launch you into the finals

You keep banging on about us losing players but refuse to acknowledge that we brought in recruits too. Pointless discussion with a well known Carlton troll.

Everyone Carlton trade out are VFL plodders until we trade them too. The second a trade goes through the revisionists start referring to them as marquee players and superstars!

Ok then Reidy? Not as good as TDK

Hayward? Not as good as Curnow

Florent? Regular sub, average footballer

Khamis? Oops didn't come across

Have I missed anyone? Oh Chesser, not a bad pick up but unaccomplished so far

Not sure any of these guys will make up for the losses in 2026 and bounce you back up the ladder into finals

The "fact" that Pittonet is not a replacement for TDK because they were playing in the same team. Pittonet played 7 AFL games in 2025 mostly at the back end when we had no McKay and Curnow and needed TDK up forward.

There's a reason TDK was the first choice ruck ahead of Pitto.

You've gone from TDK with Pitto backup, to Pitto with Reidy backup.

That is an example of 'going backwards'.

No where have I said you can't hold the opinion that Carlton will go backwards in 2026. Or that its a crazy viewpoint. I expect a lot to think similar.

All I disputed was the Pittonet and TDK were playing in the same team comment. One is an opinion. One is misrepresenting clear facts.
