Always happy to tell you how their season went, I remember a little scuffle breaking out and Rick came in and picked Greg Turbill up by the scruff of the jumper like a bag of wheat and telling him” you’re just an angry ant Tubby “😂
PS: obviously started by Sturt 😉

She is. I didn't think there was anything that wrong with Kochie's statement.

A few observations:

I don't think Treders is as popular with Port people as he thinks. Sure there are plenty that will back him in not matter what but in these scenarios the club generally wins out.

I don't believe Tredders was such an agitator that he got rid of Hinkley. I think Hinkley was going anyway

This isn't Kochie acting on his own. The AFL are as much behind this as anyone else. The fact Fiveaa are also distancing themselves from him shows this isn't some vendetta.

Anyone that thinks Treders shouldn't be held accountable because it was his guest not him doing the talking is a dead set idiot. Of cause Tredders knew exactly what he was doing, he just didn't have the 'balls' to say it himself.

Regardless of where everyone sits on his views he is clearly lacking the judgement to be apart of the AFL industry. Doesn't mean he can't keep fighting for what he believes in.

All he had to say was " a guest on my podcast expressed views which were his own and may have caused offence to some sectors of the community, I apologise for the offence taken in this matter."

Don't have to do anything else, don't have to mean it, doesn't have to go on about principles of free speech, sometimes it is just your turn to lick the shitstick

Good judge wouldn’t you say ? :moustache:

If someone came to me saying they desperately needed to borrow a large amount of money, they couldn’t borrow it from a bank, and would pay it back the next day, that’s a serious red flag.

There’s a few lenders that will do this type of loan. Not so much next day, that’s an ‘I just need to move some things around and liquify a couple of assets’. 40% interest rates are pretty common once payments are missed. But when you’re tapped out at the bank and you’re short a few million, these investment funds are there to cash in.

I went to the Lakers V Heat game tonight, going to see the 49ers VS Rams next weekend at Santa Clara, going to see the 76ers in Philly and the Jets VS Rams when we're in New York.

I have a friend who I met online about five years ago who lives in Pittsburgh so I'm going there to meet up with him.

We stayed in Hollywood so going to Downtown LA tonight to see the Lakers was an experience. It's definitely an example of the haves and have nots
We always do a basketball or baseball game when we are over there. Sitting in the nose bleeds still a good experience.

Are you really going to your mate/client for that though?

Seems like you’re crossing some significant personal and professional boundaries there.

Sounds like outlaw motorcycle interest rates...

That's why you vet guests before they come on the show. I don't see why anybody has to give Tredrea the benefit of the doubt and pretend he didn't know who he was platforming.

His manager had already borrowed the money to serve his purposes. He has probably broken the law. Pendles was kind enough to provide an out. But once the manager had breached his trust, the friendship aspect would have cratered. And I’d say from that point on, old mate became a client of the investment fund. The personal relationship was done.

I lived at Port Vic for a while and went to school with his nephews, one in my year, but his name escapes me. Although, I say year, the school was divided into 2 classes. Actually, I think his name was Troy. They lived on the Main Street and had a defunct grass tennis court.

Ripen bloke Rick loved a chat on the ground

First year out of school I played in an old scholars intercol with Rick suiting up for the wannabes down the road. Fair to say his elbow was raised a few times during the game. I challenged him about it a couple of years later at a polo event. Probably lucky to still have all my own teeth.

Hahaha

The AFL's nepo babies..

Alexandra Crow, the partner of Damien Hardwick, promoted to Gold Coast’s head of consumer growth

Rival clubs asked questions about Alexandra Crow’s part-time role at Gold Coast in 2025 before the AFL ticked it off. Now, the partner of coach Damien Hardwick has been promoted.

Don't miss out on the headlines from AFL. Followed categories will be added to My News.

Gold Coast has promoted the partner of senior coach Damien Hardwick into a full-time role at the club after she worked as a consultant during the 2025 season.
Alexandra Crow began work as the Suns’ head of consumer growth in September after the AFL ticked off on her full-time employment.
Crow previously led Richmond’s consumer and stakeholder engagement departments during an eight-year tenure at Punt Road.
The experienced industry staffer began at Gold Coast in a short-term position which chief executive Mark Evans described as “small” in scope and in line with “market rates” for the role.

Rival clubs had asked the AFL whether Crow’s wage would be included against the Suns’ soft cap, however the league signed off on her initial employment.

“I know the role and the size of the role and I am certain there will be no issues for the AFL or club on any front,” Evans told the AFL website in March.

The AFL was made aware by the Suns of their decision to install Crow in a full-time role.

Crow recently updated her LinkedIn profile to reflect her new position.

She did the job at Richmond for 8 years. Seems perfectly ok to me. If it was our club, you’d be defending it based upon her experience in the industry.

Baggie was pretty good with the elbows as well

LOL

You can't help yourself when it comes to potshots from the cheap seats can you.

Maybe, but the investment funds I’m referring to are the exact opposite. When your development is over-budget and the banks have walked away, these guys step in with rates around 20%. You miss payments and it climbs to 40 odd %. It’s all legal, they take security over every asset you have. But they’re not criminal and reality is that they’d be the only other option at that stage. There’s definitely a strong element of opportunism, but we’re talking about people that will be wiped out if they can’t get hold of the funds required.

He knew exactly who he was interviewing and the views that might be expressed. What jumbo was saying is that if he’d issued a fake apology regarding offence caused, he’d have gotten away with it.

Nothing more certain than you defending the club if it was us. As would I. Surely clubs are entitled to recruit people with extensive relevant industry experience.
Nowhere near as certain as you shitcanning the club on anything they do.
