Didn’t Harry break the all time season total disposals for North Melbourne this year? Are we expecting a 20 year old to be perfect or something?

I don’t like this down playing of his 2 Syd Barkers. Like it or not playing games matters in the b&f and X’s 3 week lay-off and his 3 week slump working through a hammy problem cost him the outright victory.

I think some people have been Kane Corned.

I think people need to stop this dichotomous thinking.

It is totally okay to say Harry had a down year by his previous standards and he was lucky to get the Syd alongside X, while also believing the kid is a driven superstar who is awesome for us.

As a supporter group, we seem so conditioned to take any reasoned, constructive criticism as a full blown assault on someone.

It's silly and immature.

I have no problem with posters or others saying he had a down year but to say he had a shit year is not accurate in my opinion.

And in turn you have to compare Harry’s season against the players he’s competing against for the bnf - only X was above him.
Players had good stretches during the season , in PC(early), Kerch (second half ) but sheez was just one of our better players.

Sheez just going through a bit of maturing.
He shared the B&F with X who missed 3 games, so Harry himself knows his standard wasn't up to par.

Put it this way. Thomas at the start of his 4th season got a lucrative contract extension that paid him up to $700k a year.
He got injured early on in 2022, started getting involved with the wrong crowd as the team piled up losses under Nobles and then form issues and off field indiscretions began to mount heading into 2023. He was gone from the club after just 5 years.

Harry at the same age will knuckle down and get on with it, knowing that you cant coast in this game and that it takes so much dedication and effort to be the best.
That's the difference in mindset and mindset only that turns talent into out and out stars.

The following comments are true. Harry had a down year based on his first 2. Despite that he was still very good for a 20 year old in his third season. My intuition is that Harry doesn’t care much for personal accolades. He is about premierships. He knows that is how he cements a legacy. Imagine captaining this North to a flag!! He will be a God. Nothing would come close.

won the bnf in a down year?
Yes. X deserved it outright. Sheezel's Player Ratings (which I think tend to be accurate. Not always, but often) prove most of his disposals were worth bugger all. I mean, the eye test would've proven that to anyone watching as well. More touches, less impact. Simple.

But... saying he had a down year is not equivalent to throwing shit at him. If we're to emerge from the darkness, we all know he'll be leading the way. That said, the fact he won the BnF is an indictment on several others, LDU in particular. Let's cut the false dilemma shit

If he stays relatively niggle free, he'll have a massive season. His motivation is brilliant. Wish a few others would come along with him
