It’s like they deliberately tried to do it in such a way to magnify the failure.

And then turn around and paint us as deluded when they fail to make so much as a Grand Final — with Davies and Koch pointing to charts showcasing overall wins, Hinkley imploring fans not to ‘judge us on one game, but the collective’, and Richardson genuinely rattled he’s not being chaired around the clubrooms shoulder-high for delivering “Prelims”.

Hard to believe we’ve won Sweet Fatty Arbuckle under these clowns!

Finally watched last week’s press Conference. Seriously how was Richardson ever appointed? You could find a monkey that speaks better than that buffoon!
"Mr Koch said Mr Richardson was the stand out choice from an outstanding field of candidates assembled through a national search, working with independent senior executive recruiting company BKD Executive Leaders. .... we had the best person right here already.”"

Ultimately, he has done a pretty good job managing the finances but it’s time to start delivering a high performance program.

That’s how I’ll judge him, by being able to deliver not just profits but the on field success starts with a good CEO.

His articulation skills in front of the camera isn’t really that big of a concern for me.

The umms and ahhs might mean that he actually thinks before he speaks unlike kochie.

BKD is literally just Andrew Dimitriou and Ben Buckley of lolnorf fame. Two guys who though have been execs, have never been recruiters.

They wrote an email to the club "We spoke to like three people and they said they arent interested."

Bitcho it is!

Meanwhile real Port Adelaide was sitting in a dusty Marvel Stadium basement.

He always seems to have a goofy look on his face, like he's not quite sure why he's there.

How have I only just read this by Tribes....amazing stuff

Well, guessing not a titter heard from the offices of Bitcho Woohoo in reply. What a shock. They dont like getting called out on anything they do wrong so that is one email that would have been set to self destruct in the Alberton Ivory Tower. Clowns.

According to Richardson’s email to members, Port have paid off the last of the historic debt.

Good on the club for doing that. It ve interesting to see this year’s financial statement.
Thus removing the most quoted impediment to us regaining member control? Let's see how that pans out...

There’s no option for member control from what I’ve been told on here by people that know more about this problem.
Yep - my post here with links to the source discussion

In 2014 when the club “gained control” of its AFL licence (moving away from the SANFL sub-licence agreement) a new constitution for our Club was written. It remains in effect.

While the Adelaide Crows used the rewriting of their licence agreement to include a mechanism for the election of board members to return to club control (on “the development grant completion date” in 2028, when they will have paid off their licence for the 2nd time, this time to the AFL) the predominantly SANFL appointed PAFC board at that time did not ;)

When this missed opportunity was raised with the chairman David Koch at consecutive PAFC AGMs he claimed to not know of the clause. A lack of awareness also expressed by CEO Matthew Richardson.

In 2028 the crows' members will be able take ownership of their own club. Whether that actually happens is something to wait for. Personally I wouldn't trust the likes of a self interested career politician like John Olsen to hand over power to the unwashed public without a shit storm of protests. But the fact remains that no such opportunity exists for us.

Good discussion on all of these things here:

Historical debt cleared and now we can really start to build our financial base, which has been a goal for a while now.

This milestone represents more than debt reduction. It enables us to accelerate our strategic pillar of building a financially powerful Port Adelaide Football Club: creating a diversified asset base that generates non-core revenue while transforming our financial strength and ultimately maximising football program investment.

I'm guessing they want to do it on the week of the intra-club match?
As a guess, probably; however, it's just another middle finger to members, especially those wanting to voice their frustrations about the previous season and other matters.

Not till Hinkley is off the books are we debt free.

"It enables us to accelerate our strategic pillar of piss blasting at Port Adelaide Football Club."

Good news Bitcho showing up only when the mood is better. Utterly silent when it has mattered.
