Have said before, but if multiple clubs rate him a 1st rounder and we can grab him with pick 34 (and dont) you would really have to question our recruiters

I think people rate him but rate our other NGAs higher.

And has been done to death, a situation that could quite easily have been avoided if we really wanted all 3

Our recruiters obviously dont rate at least 1 of the 3 (and maybe more) good enough for a main list spot

Yeah only time will tell but they would be a little worried.

Not sure if any first round academy/father-son kids haven’t been matched before.

The melts are that if we match on Williams, we'd miss out on either Koby Evans of Charlie Banfield if they were both bid on.

Has not really torn a game apart and made anyone go WOW !!!!! , not really consistent, not much of a pressure forward .... most of the hype seems to be coming from the combine. If we want a gun small forward that will cause some chaos , Dovidson is sitting there at our pick 13

Starting to think this draft might be a little underrated. Plenty of mocks have players going in the 30s or 40s I would be happy to have on the list. Obviously there will be heaps of duds, but I think there will be plenty of diamonds as well.

The issue is that we only have 5 main list spots. So after using 1, 2 and 13 we can only draft two more players in the main draft. If no-one bids on Banfield/Evans then we're fine as we can pick them up as rookies.
Some people on here are pissed that we didn't move Cripps to the rookie list, which would free up the extra spot for a draftee.

The hype is over his combine results. He’s also a very skilful player but there are easily 30 and probably 40 players that are better prospects.

Fades in and out of games, stats don’t really back up a top 30 selection either. If we package up picks and go in with 1,2,9 and a late selection (say 54 back from the Blues that comes in to mid 40s), I’d use all those picks then match a bid if it came provided when know we’re getting Banfield Cat A.

As crazy as it sounds, I'm starting to suspect it's Banfield. Have heard a bit about Koby Evans in the media lately and obviously Williams looks to have interest. It is possible that despite his solid end to the year and his grand final performance they're not willing to give Bailey a main list spot?

Players who could conceivably still be available at Fremantle’s pick 20:

Hibbins-Hargreaves

Ludowyke

Thredgold
Pickett

Now 4-5 of those players will be off the board by that pick so they’d want to be pretty certain about Williams if they put a bid in because we’d be no guarantee to match

There’s also other club tied players like Sweid, King, Murray, Addinsal, Kyle, Carmichael and Ison that clubs might not or can not match a bid at that point

And if we’ve used 34 and maybe 41 to move 13 up the order we wouldn’t be able to match without going into deficit or trading back in with a future pick

Don’t bid unless you want the player and Williams is arguably a reach at that pick

That does sound crazy, he's the best performed by the group by a long way.
Obviously injuries have played their part with Evans tho
