Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

Assuming this is to pick up some of whatever "Head of Coaching Performance and Innovation Aaron Greaves" was doing last season.

Makes sense I guess, if you want a bloke whose remit is to improve coaching performance and innovation, it probably needs to be someone with a resume that extends beyond "head of player development" and "umpires coach".
Sort of but it's probably a different role (more of a mentor) but, more importantly, probably more what we need anyway

Unsure how you fit Harley Reid, Zak Butters and Frank Evans all in the one salary cap, but I'm willing to give it a go!

Nice get Blues.

If it doesn't work for Vossy, it isn't because we didn't give him enough support.
Very much so. In a contract year they couldn't get better information as to whether he is the right man or not, if it still doesn't work with the framework we've given him then the writing is on the wall and we don't even need to pay him out.

We seem to be in quite a good position off field even with a coach in a contract year and no extension currently offered - which isn't something you'd usually say with an unsecured coach at the helm.

If Vossy goes down, nobody can say the club didn’t back him.
Most impressive has been the strong emphasis on player development and the acquisitions of Fraser, Boak and Simpson in their respective roles.
So great to have a CEO at the wheel who is a ‘football first’ operator and has experience and interest in more than just the commercial side of the club

I don't see this at all - to me the club has backed Voss in and gone out and got him the best possible to support to give him the best chance of success - they aren't going throw all that out the window 1/3 of the way through the season
If the results don’t go our way, there will be significant calls to move Voss on. By that stage he’ll have been our coach for almost six years, not including his unsuccessful tenure at Brisbane. The club has also invested heavily this off-season to give him even more support, so the media can’t claim we haven’t done everything possible to build this team around him as head coach. And with his contract ending next year, I can definitely see it happening.

I can logically understand why they kept him this year based on everything this off-season. There arent really alot of excuses left for him if he doesn't perform
