Old mate will only pay attention to what he can rage against, has clearly been spending too much time on Demonland. Don't recall anyone here ever saying White was going to be a big deal.

Also, and I know I'm guilty of this too, but can we just maybe ignore Mich0 for a bit? Every thread is just full of him and answers to him atm. Needs to start that blog so he can express himself as often as he wants with less bother.

I think the Dees were the only one's making any song and dance though. Suns have 2 kids in the top 4 of the draft. I'm sure Kalani was barely thought about. We dont have too many wins in academy or father/son, so we were hoping this kid would be something like his dad ir a Sam Darcy. Reality is he's gonna be a very long prospect. Bonus really to get him as a rookie and not give up a pick i guess. Less pressure on the kod too.

Possibly that and Jeff himself trying to build the hype.

Guess it has broader ramifications as well with the twins yet to come through.

I think a lot of club ties players get overhyped initially. White was initially said to be a 2nd round type prospect. As was Sinema. McGuane was top 10 from some at one point then first round. Now probably not drafted. Kellaway for Richmond as well. Was probably rated around 30s to 40s. Now not sure he’s on the radar so much.

Anyway, there has been hype around White for years, way before anyone could even know he would end up as a rookie. Below is an article from 2024 talking him up as being better than a #1 draft pick (his dad). Sure it’s his Dad but has been a fair few articles over the years.

Apologies to those obviously offended by someone trying to discuss White, the media around him and where he might land in the draft….in a draft thread. Bit of a touchy one it seems.

Nah, I'm all for freedom of speech. I don't agree with what he says but it would be pretty boring if everyone just agreed about everything. The ignore button is there for a reason.
