Maurice is a fair/poor kick of the football. Not long or accurate. has little game sense/awareness. often injured slow to regain condition.

Very good quality league. Think they said he finished 3rd in the BnF aswell that year. Pretty bloody impressive if thats the case

Well considering they are the picks used for Petracca, you're just making my point for me.

In part they were used for Petracca, but they also allowed the Suns to acquire picks to use towards their ability to match the bids. That is my point, without giving up quality players they aren't in a position to get the picks that allow them to match the bids, yet everyone seems to think they gave up players that were in line for delisting to get their academy kids.

They traded Lukosius for Ports 2025 pick & Pies 2025, the Port pick was used to help secure Petracca, a long with the Flanders pick from the Saints, but it also meant that the Suns to bank 24 & 28 from the Dees in return. Had they not traded Lukosius the year before they aren't in that position to land Petracca or bank picks.

Trading the likes of Budarick for 37 from the Dogs, Fiorini for a future 3rd, which they then traded into this years draft to ensure they had the points and Ainsworth for 29 doesn't allow them to match the bids alone and that's my point, without giving up quality they don't get the quality picks in, that allows them to match.

I must say I thought Taylor was a lock for us however after watching his interview on fox I can see why both essendon and we passed. Comes across as a huge w***er, sure it wont bel ong before May whacks him on preseason camp.
Very happy with the 2 we've taken, both look super talents along with being great characters.

We really liked him but had room for improvement on his reading of the play. His ability to get hands on the ball, take a mark, competitiveness, leadership and desire were never questioned. We just didn’t rate him higher than the players we took.
