Not sure I want him worrying about other things.

What about Gulden, he seems to be a bit ‘kirkish’ with his chat?

I think Gulden could be the vice captain, I am also not anti Mills being skipper at all, just frustrating when he is hurt

For some reason I have a good feeling about Taylor Adams next year.

Can only hope. He is in a contract year. I dont think anyone thought when we traded him in on a 3 year deal he'd extend beyond that, but given his history and the increased competition for spots, maybe he'll dig deep and fight hard for one last contract.

I wonder when these photos were taken? Aren't they in Newcastle at the moment?

Good to see Tom McCartin running around - first time I think I've spotted that this pre-season.

There's a photo where one of the players (JJ?) looks a lot like Jack Hiscox. He's wearing a green vest chasing Errol (in a red vest) and with Jevan's head beyond his left shoulder.

Sadly it wasn’t the mighty Jack Hiscox.

If it was, There would be no photo of chasing Errol just a blur. No camera can record the electrifying speed that was and still is Jack Hiscox.

Most of the players look like they're having a ball which is lovely to see. Paps and Juzzy look a bit reluctant to share their footies though.

Lachie McKirdy reporting that Cootee has a hip issue :sadv1:

"While Cootee trained during his first week at the club, the 22-year-old was on crutches during Wednesday’s session in Newcastle. He is dealing with hip soreness and is scheduled to undergo scans later in the week to figure out the issue.

However, he and Mills ensured they were still working on their ball skills, dragging Brett Kirk into a handball drill while Cootee was sitting on a chair."

BUT also from the same report, Logan looking good!

TRAINING THE HOUSE DOWN

December is the perfect time for the pre-season cliches, and key forward Logan McDonald is ticking all of the boxes as he pushes for a return to the footy field.

McDonald missed the entire 2025 AFL campaign through an ankle injury, but a cautious approach at the back end of the year has the 23-year-old firing on all cylinders.

While he has bulked up slightly, it’s his speed and agility that are most noticeable in the early stages. And if he can build up his body of work before March, there’s no reason he won’t be lining up in the forward line alongside new recruit Charlie Curnow.
