What a weird thing to say. Look at the action set pieces in Sicario alone if you're not a fan of his sci-fi stuff. Not to mention the cinematography. THe atmosphere will be perfect

Skyfall one of the best Bond films was done by Mendes who’s quite Hollywood. They’ve also had Boyle and Fukunaga

I don't think Craig was the 'physically imposing' type, but his films were definitely the darker and more gritty / violent. I think they'll continue down that path.

Obviously grain of salt stuff, but Taylor-Johnson is pretty clearly the most 'physically imposing' of the top cohort. I don't think Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle or Theo James have that kind of vibe. Though I do think all of them would be decent Bonds in their own way.

With villneuve directing, i feel like they'll go down the route of the gritty type instead.

What i hope they don't do is try and mix the worlds. Craig was at his best in Casino Royale and Quantum which felt more grounded. When they tried to go down the traditional path with gadgets, etc in Spectre and No Time to Die it didnt work cause Craig lacks natural charisma like Connery and Brosnan did. For that role, id pick a Turner.

But if they go back to the franchise roots, then taylor johnson works better. He was great in Bullet Train which had that sort of campish vibe.

Not my original thought but I like the idea I saw today that Pierce Brosnan returns into the Denis universe as ex-007, maybe shows the ropes or works alongside with the new 007. Then is actually the main villain.
