Are there any other player that we might be interested in trying to get to come to North? If there is then they will have to understand that there might be a waiting list to get a game..
I doubt we have space to accomodate anyone other than KLWT

Her plus 2 draft picks is what I expect this offseason (plus Martin back)

Retire Shierlaw, wright, delist stubs
Then I could see Mahony getting let go after one year potentially also as KLWT is an upgrade on her

I think she's played her last game for us, however I wouldn't be surprised to see her pop in the vflw for a separate club then eventually sign for a different aflw club.
Not knowing what her issues are it might be good for her to go to another club and start again if it helps her..

How does KLWT even get a game next season? Unless Kate retires but then you'd have to assume Hetherington or Mahoney get first crack.

But hey, im no list manager so welcome to North KLWT!

Thats it. We're not privy to her inner circle but from the outside looking in from past experience it might be good for a fresh start.

Regardless i wish her all the best.

It will be interesting to see what we do with Boyd, do we keep her or do we let her go back to our VFLW side and watch her being picked up by another AFLW side.

They'll find a way. Kate might play down back if she plays on.
It wouldn't surprise me if they think KLWT can be a taller mid/fwd long term like Garner.

If she could be half as good as Jassy then she'll be having a really good career at that spot!

Yeah Boyd is fairly old 29 in March

If we have another younger talented player wanting to come over could see us cut her

The more I think on it, the more I question what exactly is it the Brisbane aflw side is doing so wrong compared to their men's?
Why do players request trades out of a team that is playing in grand finals every season? Yes they're not winning them, but they're always thereabouts.
Is it their aflw system? Plenty of other sides are getting curb stomped regularly and still losing far less players.
now you're just being naughty

Has anyone ever seen Claire Mahony play?

100%

Many complaints from Brisbane folk about being raided. They were raided as new teams came in, but there was no alternative - the depth had to be spread out, you couldn't expect new teams had to come up with all fresh faces.

But there should be nothing to stop them going out and grabbing a few players now that all teams are in the system - that is if they're good enough to demonstrate their value to a player.

People complain about the line of players wanting to get in the door at Arden St, but why wouldn't a player consider a team that on face value has made 7 GFs and should provide a great opportunity? Something a bit smelly here.

Wonder if Emma is already planning to coach us after Darren.
I would be pretty certain she will be a head coach one day
Yes, very interesting how the next few years might play out.

Sounds like opposition teams are knocking on Harwood's door. Does that allow Emma to go in for main assistant role to Crocker for a year or two before transitioning?

Don't know how long Crock wants to go, but these are two fine options to be serving apprenticeships then moving into the big chair for the W team.

(I know a long bow, and perhaps others when previously suggesting this have had tongue in cheek - but I don't think it would be an unreasonable step for Crock to throw his hat in for the mens coaching job if changes are made there. He's been in that system previously. The biggest issue I see on the mens side is that we don't play like a team. We have the players to be above where we are right now. Someone focused on cohesion and playing your role would be massive).

Crocks should have been offered the men's senior coaching job after Scott stepped down.
But im not going to lie, im not complaining he wasn't because otherwise we may not have been b2b winners!

I’d cut Martin loose if there’s any takers
There is a lot to like about Niamh Martin, but I think AGM offers more than her and so trading her is an option if she is thinking about returning next season.

Of course, she may wish to stay in Ireland and not return and all and so releasing her is also an option.

I don’t know if it’s happened more this week or I’m just noticing it more but it’s so great seeing the extended squad in the middle of all the celebrations. Ari especially seems like she couldn’t be happier.
