Also I don't think you can be complaining about faking injuries considering Caicedo did exactly that to try and con the referee out of a stonewall red card. Put his studs in Merino's shin and then rolled around like he'd been shot.

Sunderland at least try to play. Which I respect big time from a newly promoted side. Can’t say the same for Leeds. Scored an early set piece then dropped anchor and clogged the middle

I think it’s excellent that in the very first season that Sunderland have come up to the PL since Newcastle were taken over by the richest owners in the world, Sunderland are in 6th place while Newcastle are languishing in 12th.

This is why we aren't title contenders. We're a young squad. There will be inconsistency.

As long as we continue to make headway, we should be contending within 2-3 seasons.

You know what sort of game it’s going to be from the first whistle and first foul. Negative tactics, slow mindset and the ref allowing a stagnant game by being whistle happy.

Arsenal get away with it with their set pieces. I’m sure there’d have been very similar frustrating results for them if we pegged the set piece goals back to a normal level.
