In “negotiations”, russia wants Ukraine to have neither a strong “army and weapons” or “robust security guarantees” because, even you know, that russia will be back after violating any future agreement.

Upon Ukraine’s 1991 independence, over 1,700 Soviet nuclear weapons were left on its territory. Ukraine never possessed operational control of the weapons, and all were removed to Russia under a 1994 agreement in exchange for security assurances.

While Ukraine had "administrative control" of the weapons delivery systems, it would have needed 12 to 18 months to establish full operational control.

Newsflash for you: Russia has already lost the war. Putin has openly expressed his desire to genocide Ukranians, destroy the state of Ukraine and absorb it into Russia. Putin has openly declared his aim was to occupy Ukraine or install a puppet government.

This goal will never be achieved for Russia no matter what Putin does. Ukraine will never ever be a puppet state of Russia again, that is guaranteed now.

Putin also cannot even gain recognition for occupied territory. Russia simply cannot afford to continue an occupation perpetually. Ukraine on the other hand has far reach support. Putin is isolated and viewed as a modern day Hitler by the rest of the woirld.

De-russify Ukraine.
Promote Ukrainian as people’s mother tongue and not russian. Those who change from russian to Ukrainian will over time forget russian. If Ukrainians want to learn a second language pick any other language except russian. This is happening now!
(Ukraine has many ethnic groups, including Hungarians, Roma and Crimean Tatars whose languages should continue to be recognised and protected as “native tongues”.)
