The cope of Pommies is funny hanging their hat on Archer getting riled up to bowl.at 150k like that is everything.
Dirk Nanness bowled at 150k
Tait bowled at 150k
Holdsworth etc etc.
Takes more than just being quick.

Adam Peacock from Willow Talk claiming that literally even the pissweak dissent from the crowd was getting them kicked out if you were near the England bench. **** me they're a bunch of softserves. Timestamped the moment where he claims a guy ironically cheering Stokes' innings was thrown out. Might explain Baz's weird comment about it being hostile here, when it clearly isn't.

Linked timestamped to the right point.

If we follow that logic of punting people for sarcastically clapping then the whole Barmy would be kicked out after the first hour.

Ambrose was a frightening bowler because of his height and lift off a length.
Those who faced him said Patterson was the scariest for outright pace.

Also he would be bowling 150+ when the game was still in the balance. Walsh too.

Just saw this WTAF? And he reckons Australia isn't for weak men. Jesus Christ these gutless hyoocrites.
Barmy Army bully players on mass but if a Pom player is mocked, they want someone kicked out?
F*** off

Garner was also very hard to face because batters could never pick up the length with him being so tall.
Actually all the West Indian bowlers from the old days were scary even going back to Hall and Griffith.

And all the media will issuing instructions to their people to get shots of English cricketers playing golf

England can't win - unless they win.

Play golf, go fishing, whatever - they will be criticised for not playing enough warm up games.

Switch tack and play a warm up game before Adelaide and they will be criticised for not doing it sooner.

Etc.

They've probably given up on the series now so won't be doing more than the minimum.

Hey, maybe Uzzie is training for a shock deflection to the Poms. An opener being on the field for both fielding innings but not opening the batting in either batting innings is textbook Bazball confusing, pointless type behaviour. I’m sure his approach has peaked their interest. Or not, whatever, they’re cool either way
Unlikely given his age. Maybe better off trying out for a run with the Cats.

You can't underplay how important Carey has been either - his ability to keep up at the wicket to keep the English batters in their crease has really helped our bowlers stick to their strategies and bowl a constant length, without the English changing that rhythm by moving out of the crease.

That's before you consider his actual catching performance.

Probably locking himself in the hotel room in Noosa to avoid training
Hope he has his pillow with him.

The England quicks are good, but Starc is 35 and has played 102 tests. That's more than the 4 quicks + Jacks combined.

Wood is 35 and has played 38. Archer is 30 and has played 17. Atkinson is 27 and has played 15. Carse is 30 and has played 11.

Even Cummins who is 32 and didn't play at all from 2011-2017 has played 71.

It's all well and good to have multiple options who can bowl fast but if you take out our second innings they just had to bowl 117 overs to our 151 and were found wanting. What Starc did to bowl 38 overs and bat for two and a half hours and still take 8 wickets and make the new ball play tunes is why he thoroughly deserves his second MOTM in a row. I'm rapt Neser finished with a 5fer because he bowled well and deserved it. Great if you can come on and get 5/42 in 6 overs, but if you can't can you do it in 16? That's what it takes at test level. Neser, Doggett and Boland all toiled away in the second innings with the soft pink ball to keep pressure on England and a couple of difficult chances taken turned the game.

If you want further contextual evidence, Starc has been bowling 145 km rockets longer than Jofra Archer has been English.
