People can blame the cattle or lack thereof as much as they like, but what hope does a team possibly have when the coaches whole messaging is that “finals are scary” and it’s “50-50 at best”?

To think that the good old fashioned rev up was supposedly his strong point to make up for his lack of tactical knowledge.

The cattle argument has always been BS given they won plenty of big games against top 4 sides during the home and away season over his time as senior coach. If you can do it then, you can do it in the finals against those same teams. It was never a talent issue irrespective of what some might say otherwise.

After years of wanting a Port person to do Port games on a Fox Footy broadcasted games instead of having to listen to bloody Ricciuto's commentary, we are now lumbered with this garbage. FMD we are just lumbered with this guy for years / decades to come.

The closest a coach should say for 50-50, is when you're the team who finished lower during the H&A, that none of that matters now. If you're the coach of the team finishing higher, you should be telling the players you beat them earlier in the year, you will beat them again.

They all now tend to praise up the opposition even teams like North.
They are a good side and will have to be on our game is a common saying.
The entire game is now polite and friendly.
Players coaches all get along pretty well even coaches sticking up for each other when a coach gets criticized.
In a way I miss the old ways of a bit of nasty but that’s the past and it’s never coming back.
