I thought Vancouver did well with the Players received for Quinn Hughes.
Obviously it sucks to lose a top 2 dman in the world and your captain. All 4 players are young and Buium has great potential. The rebuild is accelerated by moving Hughes now.

They did well. Tough to lose a player like Hughes but they needed a centre and got good prospects and pics. Wild have really gone all-in on Kaprizov and Hughes.

Sharks beat the Flames for the first time since Feb, 2024 with an impressive 6-3 romp.

Celebrini continues to put together a MVP season with another 2 G 2 A, including this spino-rama.

Having Celebrini and Bedard in top 6 for scoring is awesome.

Speaking of MVP, McDavid just going about his business with 23 points in last 10. Just a couple off MacKinnon now.

I find the +- diff between Mackinnon and McDavid fascinating

Mackinnon +43
McDavid 0

Avs were straight out of gates and been steamrolling teams. Toews and Makar instead of Nurse and Bouchard. Lol. And Wedgewood was unbeatable for weeks. They have 6 of the top 7 plus/minus guys in league as it stands.

Oilers doing usual thing and start rolling around Christmas.

Yeh agree with all above..just and interesting stat given both are now close to even on points.

Excuse my ignorance, but how long has NHL been broadcast on free to air in Melbourne? I've not noticed that previously.

How many matches get televised on free to air?

Only recently. Looks like they putting their toe in the water with Saturday morning games, 1 a week.

Hope it takes.

No bragging here, I’m not on the ice.
Just a Xmas greeting to you. No need for those silly stats. Goal differential? Please… You can cherry pick stats from most NHL teams and declare them “not that good”.

Via that sheer buffoonery, I just remembered. You never enlightened us on Montréal’s “unfair advantage” from the past.

Thanks for letting us know the wings are first in the Atlantic
At least Detroit have a closer gap between RW and Wins, as well as less extra points from OT/SO losses. Montreal would barely be top half of the league (at close glance) taking into account ties instead of the extra points (There's a big pack of teams close together) and just in a wild card spot
