No major injuries in the preseason please

Centre square midfield time for Curtin and Rachele

Rest Tex strategically throughout the season, regardless of what else is going on

Hoping to see Draper join in a training drill at some point

Attacking football with an element of risk/dare. Not just chipping sideways or bombing down the line.

-One of Cook, Dowling, Edwards to 'make it'
-Sid to be injury free and show why he was a top 4 pick
-Curtin to go to another level and have regular CBA stints
-Worrell to be AA
-Izak to be AA
-Soligo to be strategically rested more during season so doesn't run out of gas
-TT to win the Coleman
-Win a final
-Quick exciting high scoring football
-Better transition football and NOT, ABSOLUTELY NOT any slow long bombing down the line to the likes of Stewart, Moore, Sicily etc etc

Your wish is granted

I hope we release a minor premier dvd, reckon there’s a few around here that would buy it. And hopefully there’s a special segment where we reel off our list of excuses. Seriously though, we wouldn’t embarrass ourselves like that. Unlike these idiots.

Two Showdown wins
Competitive form
Low injuries
Make Adelaide Oval a ground feared by away fans and teams alike

Thats easy
Memo to Adelaide Oval. Run the Victoria Park playbook.

Turn of the hot water to the opposition changerooms
Forget to run the opposition team race protection from time to time
Play target the player with bottles and cans

Ohh you meant with form....Oh thats different.

Memo to Adelaide
Sack Nicks.

when we get a new coach I want them to come in and clear the decks. We have a government style culture, we sack them periodically but the bureaucracy always remains in tact. It’s like we only employ coaches that don’t see any need for change other than them being put into the top job.

Well to be fair its hard to implement change in just 4 seasons like Pyke. The teams going to largely stay the same but with some rolling additions over the way. But in terms of Nicks, the clubs too frightened to admit defeat and are merely hoping he can lead them to the promise land now. If Nicks fails this year, the clubs going to have a PR nightmare on its hands and they know it.

Our club doesn't know how to quit when behind.

We prefer to double down.

If we make the 8 hopefully we'll win a final. And hopefully Rankine does not mess up again.

It is a huge season of huge challenges ahead.
Top 10 now, but need to finish top 6 to be a realistic chance.

Geez what a bunch of sad sacks. Grumpy old men are in full swing.

Hoping for some early wins to bring some positivity back. Also looking forward to Sid gaining a permanent spot. Hoping for another injury free season, although that may be expecting too much.

The recruits look to be very promising with an injection of finals experience. Cal will be very good for us.

Not everyone was on their game last season.

Fogarty
Hinge
Murray
Jones
Nankervis
Obrien
Sholl
Pedlar
Hoping to see some of these guys step up.

Definitely need our ruckmen to be competitive in the new era.
The fringe guys look interesting….Finbar and Macandrew should keep Obrien honest
Jordan should be in our backline round 1.

Curtin…….well, this year we see how good this guy is. This is the big one for me.
He may not workout in the middle but we know he is brilliant on the wing. This is more than we knew last off season.
But if he does fire up in the middle, wow! Just…WOW!

A Harder draw, some stronger opposition and yes, pressure on the club and coach to perform in finals. It will be a challenge but all things considered I think the squads quality has raised a notch or two. And we’ll need it. Round 1 without Rankine will be interesting playing against Dads Army. More Grumpy old men….haha.

Don’t be sucked in by a “harder draw”. Top teams can lose form too. Look at Sydney last year.

Also, draws often end up being easier or harder as the ladder order changes year on year.

If you are good enough, should make the finals regardless of the draw... particularly now a top 10.

The draw is horrendously over rated. Good teams will find ways to win. Blaming a draw is the domian of making pre emptive excuses of losses. Oh thats a 5 day break...cant win that one, Oh its Collingwood at the MCG after we played Brisbane at the Gabba with only a 6 day break.

I couldnt care less. You walk out on that field and as far as I am concerned you are either good enough or you arent. Sometimes losses arent even a bad thing if its a cracking game. Cant win them all.

This is a kind of magical thinking. In the real world, there are advantages and disadvantages and you can ignore them if you want but it doesn’t make them any less real.

Is there any kind of disadvantage you are prepared to acknowledge the existence of? What if TT, Dawson, Rankine, Worrell, Murray and Butts all were missing through injury? What if we were playing Geelong at the Cattery off a two day break?
