Looks like the Pies played their GF last week and even then they probably would have lost if we’d just kicked at an AFL standard level of accuracy.

McStay, Membrey and Buller with 21 disposals, 7 marks and 1.1 between them yesty is incredibly grim.

Why would anyone have followed the Saints over the club's history? Why would anyone follow any teams in the Englush Premier league outside the typical power sides?

I don't think you honestly believe what you wrote. I get that it's frustrating though. If it helps, even if the northern clubs are powerful fir a generation, it won't always be the case. Vic clubs will be fine imo.

Your second point i disagree with too. Im no fan of the opening round, but i disagree that it favours the northern teams.

yeah I'm sure the AFL has research which shows that fans just don't drop off, it's not what happens. we have no leverage because we keep ponying up no matter how bad our sides are.

Another Guernsey clash between red and dark red.

I get in the golden era of AFL it was difficult to create sports clothing of different colours, but this stuff shouldnt be hard in 2026.

Rule 1: away team wears shirt shorts and socks with a dominant colour that is nothing like any of their club colours.

Rule 2: if following Rule 1 produces a clash, away team reverts to normal home colours.

Look at the EPL, it doesnt hurt the club's most dyed-on (pun intended) supporters when they wear stuff outside the normal club colours.

Time to modernise

Is this the clash you’re talking about?

Real clashes rarely happen anymore.

Keep in mind, all this stuff coming out about the dodgy Geelong dealings are all because one person is getting dragged through the courts. One person. And all this is coming out.

Imagine if they did a proper investigation into what their players are receiving from all the club sponsors and rich Geelong fans.

I just saw Tristan Xerri turn around and clap at JHF after he kicked a clanger haha. You love to see this level of shithousery in the modern era.

If someone doesn't stand on the correct side of the escalators what is the correct course of action?

Asking for a friend

And why should Collingwood fans be shoved down an esclator.

Also asking for a friend

If there is an edge -> yeet them off of it to create space as they should know better.
Since they are pies supporters -> find a window instead to correct their face.

Either way, give them a stink eye or kindly ask them to grow a brain and get to the right side as they're at an event and not the only one around so have some damned decorum in a confined space FFS.

if only this was in SA and not Melb to really rub it in.

Willing to bet all clubs have a bit of this going on including ours. A whole industry has been built on professionals finding ways to dance between the lines.
