Can’t be half in surgery eitherLet’s see if he does actually play again this year. He’s either got ACL damage or he doesn’t.

Went for a walk with osteitis pubis and never came backIsn't that what LARS is? What ever happened to that.
That explains why it's no longer popular.Fell out of favour when it was realised that the "short term benifit" was undone due on the long term high failure rate
From an article in 2018 -
While providing fast recovery, it resulted in synthetic debris causing chronic inflammation, recurrent instability, and premature arthritis, limiting its use to elite athletes

Whatever happened to LARS? The miracle ACL surgery that was too good to be true
Athletes with ACL injuries once lined up for the LARS surgery, touted as a miracle cure capable of shaving eight months off recovery time — but it has since fallen out of favour.www.abc.net.au
No Stengle in the first half of the season.
Apologies in advance if that offends Calder Daddy or Fox Dog but that's what I was told earlier.
Yeah I've read all of that. It doesnt make sense.
Hence my silly 'possible / unlikely' take.
Sam Edmund on Stengle - not training consistently, has had a fallout with ‘some of his closest supporters’, remains a ‘wellbeing and welfare concern’ rather than a football fitness issue.
Thats what Luke Bevridge said last year when asked about Ugle - Hagan - there is no consistency in him turning up to training
Surely there must be clauses in the contract - you have to do the required training - like they all get that holliday break over the Xmas break
If that article is correct re the reasons for his absence - i wish an AFL club would just sack them - breach of contract , not injured and wont attend training ( like all the other players ) when requested to
Just pack it in dude. Nobody cares that you don't actually have a connection.Let’s see if he does actually play again this year. He’s either got ACL damage or he doesn’t.

Considering he had other options when signing... I'll guess he is covered pretty good, but that is purely a guess.I wonder if there are clause in his contract if he doesn’t play, with his history playing for Geelong
Eg ending his contract or not paying the full amount
efaThat explains why it's no longer used.
But you can have a partial tear of the ACL- these can scar over and function, or, with little provocation, can completely rupture. So it's a massive decision.Let’s see if he does actually play again this year. He’s either got ACL damage or he doesn’t.

There is a trial in some ACL injuries where there is bracing only (https://crossbracingprotocol.com/). I don't know of ANY AFL players who have taken it on in-season. We don't know what other injuries Miers has in the knee- bone bruises, meniscal, chondral- so we're all surmising. What we do know is that they will have sought the best state of the art opinions before making a final decision. If there is a tear, then surely the surgery is the best resolution IMO.
The tear can get worse and make a smaller issue a worse one I believe - depending on how it fails if and when it eventually does.
Im presuming that the smaller tear can go bang in a big way under load and make a bigger mess of an already scarred joint.
Vdubs is that a fair oberservation?

Can you point me to a post where I've stated that I have some mysterious ITK person telling me stuff. I think I generally reference the fact that someone's passed on what they know or what they've been told. That would be no different to the majority of posters that do similar.Just pack it in dude. Nobody cares that you don't actually have a connection.
They just care and keep going at you because it's backfiring on you in such a hilarious fashion. Every. Single. Time.
I'm mean come on, you can't script some of the comedic timing that's come with your 'ITK' posts lately.
Literally you just stated it in the post claiming you've never stated it.Can you point me to a post where I've stated that I have some mysterious ITK person telling me stuff.
