    Would Carlton accept?

If you mean Hansen, absolutely. We are severely lacking in key forward options, so even though Hansen's not a great player, providing a contest from CHF and taking some of the focus off Fev would be enough. WC wouldn't do that deal though

    Merged Warnock Trade Thread

Re: Warnock nominates Carlton Pick 6 would not be on the table for Warnock at all. To get one of the top 10 players in the competition like Kerr, sure, but for a beanpole ruckman with a big upside, I don't think so. To be honest, I don't know if Griffin wants to go home to WA or just leave...

Fisher could be on his way out

He had a very ordinary year, there's no getting away from that, but if we had another genuine key forward, then I'm sure Fish would do better. We badly need to draft some key forwards. Hartlett's probably going to get the chop, Edwards is a bit hit and miss, he shows more in flashes than...

    Would Carlton accept?

Erm, short answer, no. Not a chance in hell. There's no point even speculating what we'd be prepared to trade Murph for, because we simply wouldn't trade him. He's 21, a former no. 1 pick, our leading possession winner and second in the B&F in his third year of footy, and he's only going to get...

    Best Emerging Backline!

T-Bird is 25, same age as Waite, but should still have plenty of good footy left. However, if you want a backline of players under 25 from Carlton I would pick B: Browne, Jamison, Austin HB: Walker, Bower, Grigg They're all 22 or younger, and I think will develop nicely for us...

    Walker is going backwards

Yes, he has. He delivers some pin point passes now that he wouldn't have even attempted a few years ago...and he did some today, but he also made some mistakes today. Like I said, he hasn't looked anywhere near as sharp since he came back from injury a couple of weeks ago, but prior to that his...

more importantly, how did Hampson look? (please god, not another dud pick)

Extremely raw and far too early to tell. He has great athleticism, big leap, very quick, etc., but also very skinny. He's not ready for AFL football, but I think the idea is that he'll play these two games, and he'll understand what he needs to do to become a regular at this level.

    Walker is going backwards

Load of rubbish...Walker didn't have a good game today, despite getting a fair bit of the ball, but he's played plenty of bloody good ones in the last couple of years...he hasn't looked at his sharpest since coming back from injury a couple of weeks ago, but he's been a very good player for us...

    Gibbs is BAD

What a stupid post. Bryce is a quality player, but he's not the finished article yet, he doesn't have a body where he's ready to come in and dominate. Don't forget that he is still eligible to be playing under 18s footy this year...he's very young, he doesn't have the AFL body yet, and don't...

    Alternate strip

We do...I don't know what jackass came up with those rubbish jumpers, but they are never going to be worn by Carlton. Our alternate jumper for next year is silver with a navy CFC monogram and navy bars down each side.

    Bentick

I think he'll definetely be in the best 22, he showed real promise towards the end of the year and looks ready to nail down a spot of his own. He was exposed a bit defensively by Peter Burgoyne, but that's probably a bad match up. He's very good in close at the stoppages, well balanced, neat...

    Carlton Mock Draft

    pick 4

I don't think so. I can't imagine we'd be taking a tall backman at No.4 as there don't seem to be any standout candidates...if we take a tall defender I'd suggest it would be at 20 or 36 and we'd take the best available out of Spangher, Bower, Lucy and Drum. With pick 4 the PSD may come...

    Brent Guerra

No, neither of them are exactly of the Nick Stevens class, but it's rare you get star players going into the PSD, usually it's just handy players like Knobel last year and McLaren this year. Dylan would still be our most likely choice at No.1 as he's proven that he's a capable ruckman, and...

    Carlton Mock Draft

Why not? The two don't have anything to do with each other anyway...so far we've delisted/retired Bowyer, Clarke, Norman, Diggers and Johnson, but we've promoted/added Setanta and Sadds, so that only leaves us with enough spots on our list for 1, 4 and 36. Without knowing the individual...
