Lakers/Marsh could go either way, but I think if lakers get peters, Clifton, Robertson and Carey back in they should be able to get up and take top spot. To be honest I haven't seen bacchus marsh at their best so I could be very wrong here.

North city, Sunbury and Redan should do enough to get over their opponents. Will coaches take preservation of players and avoiding injuries into account this week or go all guns blazing to make a statement going into finals??

Finals match up almost set lakers and marsh to 2 play two weeks in a row by the looks.

Redan and north city shouldn't move and that just leaves the question of who Sunbury will play, imo East point should get through and bow out the first week.

Did the league not seek clarification to Anderson's hit was 50m off the ball? The tribunal agreed it was within play and a legal check on a player. Fact checking isn't your strongest suit.

And I'm not too sure when our assistant coach mentioned Anderson couldn't sleep when no assistant - nor club affiliated representative - was at the hearing. It was an external advocate representing Anderson. So again, check your facts.

I'm more than content with our clubs current position; however, I'm more content seeing your club continue their trend of wasting $150k+ on players that have no care for the football club.

Well first let me thank you for finding the time to reply. Once again drew Edwards is your whipping boy with no mention if Anderson hadn't knocked drew over 50 meters off the ball he wouldn't have got hit. Anderson also got straight up and played the rest of the game. Don't think Sullivan knew what day it was.My main grip was that you called him cowardly when both of peters actions were worse. Anderson told the tribunal the force was a two out of ten, but your assistant lied and said he couldn't sleep thinking about the force of the blow. Give me a break.Drew also pleaded guilty . Your two assistants told lies but he still got two because of his record. I hope if peters reoffends this year it's before the grand final because I want to see how they put spin on giving him a reprimand. And it does only take one incident to put your club back ten steps, so right now your clubs back twenty steps. And as for being busy with friends, you had plenty of time to rag on Drew early in the year. You know the old saying people in glass houses. Hope your not too busy working or socialising to reply.

Darley could spend $200k per year if they really wanted, also they are the current premiers, not really wasted.

On another topic, whoever loses out of bacchus and lakers final will go out in straight sets

After the investigation they have the tribunal hearing. Fact.Never said Anderson couldn't sleep. Fact. Read the post again. And yes when Edwards went to the tribunal, lakers had two witnesses and one was your little portly assistant coach. Who Said he couldn't sleep. Fact. And let's not mention money because like me you wouldn't know which clubs pay what. Fact.

I suggest you re-read your post - you said a Lakers representative said Anderson couldn't sleep after the incident? So again, incorrect, no Lakers assistant coach was at the tribunal. Your grammatical skills are as poor as your football club. I'm not sure why you keep responding to me either when your argument has more holes than a block of swiss cheese.

If you are that stubborn in your understanding of the tribunal - ask Grant Wright for a copy of the minutes from the hearing. They're free to each club and I think you'll find you have either a) been severely misinformed or b) are arguing for arguments sake knowing full well you're wrong.

At no stage did I say Anderson couldn't sleep. Said your assistant said he couldn't sleep. And you did have two witnesses at the tribunal ask g Webb he was the other one. And as for me responding, your the one with a family and friends and are too busy socialising, but have found plenty of time to reply over the last couple of days. while I'm just a footy supporter who sits behind a computer all day. Would love to see the minutes if you can get them. That's probably the end of this?

So East-Point will probably make the finals by WINNING just 7 games in a 17-round fixture?

East point are a joke. Sebas must have done alright.. Darley got smashed by Sunbury and will have to back it up again next week against them.. Lakers didn't play the greatest, cupido got out done by buckwell. Not every week the full back scores more goals than the full forward hey? Makes for an interesting finals series anyway

Yep he did pocketpears. Are you familiar with the Murray League in 2015? Three very poor teams in Cobram, Deni and Congupna. Cupido kicked 30 odd in 5 games against the cellar dwellers. Kicked 40 odd in the other 14 rounds against better sides (Rumba were elininated 1st week of the finals) with guys like N Lovett-Murray and A Davey kicking the footy at him ... Murray League is deemed a major league but I suspect it isn't as strong as the BFL. Cupido was not up to scratch in the stronger EDFL premier division his year and sacked by Airport West. Time will tell, but don't bet the house on him having a huge influence
Home and away season done, cupido finished with 43 goals and only 7 against the other 5 teams playing finals. Kicked 5 against Darley(6th) and 2 against North Ballarat (4th/5th). Couldn't score against Redan (4th/5th) and also failed to score twice against Lake Wendouree (1st)

If IRC v Darley he kicked 3 of those late in the last in junk time when they were 90+ up. Would be very surprised if he is there next year.

You have a long memory there stretcher boy. The pattern continues with his being a flat track bully it seems. He will become a journeyman. Next stop = a District league

So Darley get a home final for finishing 6th is this the league chasing extra $$$

Would have thought there would be a system of rotation for those early finals whereby all clubs get their turn at making some $$$ for their club through catering. League would take the gate takings. Darley would have been locked in prior to the last round.... but feel free to correct me. My experience is based upon other major leagues.

Darley do not get a cent, only if they open up the clubrooms after the game. Each club is on a rotation system for the food and alcohol at all finals. Not sure who is doing either this year.

Darley is the designated ground for any finals played in the East. It will not matter, Sunbury should win easy.

I see Brad murphy has hung them up and focusing solely on coaching next year. Wil be his fourth year in 2017 and needs his side to finally deliver and play finals.

Must be doing a good job with his budget. Club showing him loyalty which is great. Might see the best of him now his concentrating solely on coaching..

A good young list with some excellent local talent. With 'proper' recruiting, not the junk of recent years they will play finals next year.
Yep, Melton have probably underperformed a bit in recent times, Murphy focusing solely on coaching/recruiting may help turn things around.

Big reality check for the lakers. I think a few of them went into half time fairly cocky and just thinking it would just happen in the second half. Looks like north city have kicked themselves out of finals too.. I hear Sunbury had 19 on the field in the 3rd quarter against Darley, lucky they were so far ahead
