Some colours such as blue, red, gold, black, white and maroon are seen more often than other colours such as green, teal, purple, brown, orange or grey in sports uniforms. But which are some of the more unusual colors in team uniforms you have seen over the years? Some I have seen include:

Charcoal - Worn by AFL team GWS Giants and its NEAFL affiliate the UWS Giants in conjunction with orange and white.

Aztec Gold - The short lived NRL team the South Queensland Crushers which existed from 1995-1997 (plus two development years in Queensland in 1993-1994) wore an aztec gold jumper with maroon and navy blue.

Jade - The Chargers incarnation of the original Gold Coast NRL team wore jade, black, purple and gold jumpers from 1996-1998.

Tropical Green - The predominantly light green jumpers worn by former A League team the North Queensland Fury in its brief tenure was described as 'tropical green'

How about lime green for the Minnesota Timberwolves? (Unconfirmed but rumoured from multiple sources including an NBA 2K18 leak)

Ahhh the good old days.
That should be their clash or heritage.

I think Port's teal is almost Sky blue nowadays.
In a similar way to Freo's Purple is Super almost Navy blue.

Suns colours will have to do for them.
Fremantle's purple looks so close to Geelong's navy now.

Correct, and when you see it next to Carrrrltins home it will break your mind.

What is going to happen, and will there be an absolute outrage if the GF is played between Adelaide and Richmond. KB has already lost his mind about it.

Is it that big a deal? You're wearing a proper footy jumper, in your own colours. Good thing you didn't make it with some of your other alternates in the past.

Richmond should wear their clash in the grand final if they make it.

Why?
What happens if they come up against Geelong or Sydney?

Personally I don't really care if we make it.

Geelong and Sydney will be fine.

But if Richmond face Adelaide, they should be in the clash.

With regards to green, I think the Dockers did themselves a great disservice by removing the red and green from their colours, and now wear drab purple and white uniforms which look more navy blue. The red and green were important because they represented the area's Italian heritage and the nautical colors of port and starboard.

With green in the state competitions, the SANFL team the Woodville West Torrens Eagles wear gold, blue and green uniforms, but green has never been the dominant colour in any design of the merged team's jumpers. There are no teams wearing green in the NEAFL or the WAFL, although Peel Thunder wear teal. The VFL/VFA had the Northcote Dragons many years ago which wore green and gold, while the Tassie Devils which existed between 2001 & 2008 wore green, red, gold and black. The TAC Cup team the Ballarat Rebels wore green, gold and blue in their early years before switching to North Ballarat's black and white, and the Tassie Mariners and NSW/ACT Rams had green in their jumpers, but no longer compete in this league.
