122* (69) - Short
117 (60) - Wright
115 (70) - Weatherald
114 (52) - McDermott
113* (53) - Ferguson

Needed a boundary off that last ball to surpass McDermott’s strike rate.

Great innings by Ferguson but overall an insane fail by the Scorchers this season. Voges has to go and many players need to look in the mirror. Mind boggling to be last with this squad.

The last 2 Scorchers games have been among the best games this season. We lost both but both games involved some epic performances and went down to the final over.

Its shit losing this game but how can you deny Ferguson's incredible performance following on from SMarsh's innings.

Epic all around

Great game of cricket. Saw two of the best innings you’d see in SMarsh and Ferguson.

There’s nothing wrong with the squad on paper.

Nah, squad is unbalanced.

The same pattern this game as what happened a couple of times before - the opposition spinners just seem to bog down the Scorchers batting for a coupe of overs. At this ground pace bowlers just aren't enough to defend a score by restricting the runs. Perth have too many pace bowlers and no quality spinners. The much-feared Scorchers bowling line-up is no more, and they are not feared at this venue. They need some quality spinners that can learn how to bowl at this ground.

The Scorchers dropped the ball with their imports this year. Wiley and Quadir hopefully will not be back next year

What we lack is a decent spinner, My god has there been a worse spinner than Quadir in BBL history.

Nah, it's actually across the whole squad. Batting depth is non existent, guys like Bosisto and Cartwright get far too many games given their lack of performance. Klinger has had a shocking year with the bat and when one of your openers is a guaranteed single figure score it puts you behind the 8 ball. The quicks aren't what they were, and yeah as you say the spin bowling stocks are dodgy at best, even with Agar (who hasn't contributed at all with the bat either).
Imports are rubbish as well.

Voges hasn't exactly demonstrated great leadership either, NCN and Tye can belt the crap out of it but haven't been given the opportunities late in the innings with abovementioned underperforming middle order batsmen preferred.

It’s unbalanced and we’re wasting our international slots.

Bosisto over Philippe is so hilariously bad.
We’ve never had a good international, not once. The squad is good on paper but I don’t think they planned on both Marshes playing Tests, injuries to Agar/Whitman/Inglis, Jyhe being called up. Most teams would salivate at the prospect of having Behrendorff, NCN and Tye bowling for them, a middle order of Marsh, Turnerand Cartwright. It’s just gone pear shaped.

Car battery was pretty solid when he played

That’s so blatantly untrue. We’ve signed Internationals with high availability and skill sets suited to T20.

Arafat and Thomas? Gun pros. Willey a regular for England, just not suited to this squad balance. Gibbs did a good job.

Fair play, the change of ground might mean less reliance on pace but if Agar was playing or Turner able to roll his arm over, it might be a little different.

I forgot Arafat :( Genuine gun butnot a big name. The rest were role players, except Gibbs who I don’t recall having that much of an impact.

Signing an international opener instead of retaining Willey could've made a huge difference.

Arafat is the only import that made a consistent contribution.
