Injury Wines has done his shoulder

Yeah, colour me naive, but if my livelihood was directly tied to my fleeting athletic prowess, I’d be giving physically risky pursuits a wide berth.

At least it wasn’t the pinnacle of dumb shit: riding a motorbike.

Tex broke his hip while riding a motorbike at 16. Because of it he was moved from midfield to forward.

The rest, as they say...

Worst case scenario how many weeks are we looking at. Does anyone know.
Remember this ..
Aug 5, 2015 - Port Adelaide will have to do without Ollie Wines in its push towards a finals ... out for the remainder of the season because of a shoulder injury.
Its not the first time for Ollie.
Will not know until he has scans ..

Club will still appoint ollie captain if thats what they were going to do regardless of how much season he misses.they are not going to not give it to him just because he is injured. But we will get to see how good of a captain jonas will make as he will be leading for about half the season. Could be the making of jonas.

I hope you kept your pitch fork mate... it will save you buying a new one!

Its not good enough, surely you can understand being an elite athlete means needing to be prepared to make sacrifices to ensure you don't hurt your self.

There is a reason why a huge amount athletes have risk activities like skiing banned.

I ski a LOT and can't even fathom a bad shoulder injury from it.

What disappoints me, is not that he was skiing, but that he was obviously pushing the limits. An injury like that would've had to occurred from a serious stack, attempting a big jump or something.

If you're going to ski, just take it easy when there's 2 weeks before the season starts. Go for a quick little ride, don't go popping massive backflips and rolls and shit.

This is seriously unlucky, but far out there's definitely a level of unprofessional stupidity in it, that he should be held accountable for.

As do i, i assume Cornes miss-reported and he was in fact pushing it on a wakeboard which as you would understand is far more dangerous than skiing.

Everything you've said is correct and what i've been getting at, sure go up the river and have fun. Bunt don't try back flips on a wakeboard or lay your ear on the water on a ski. Have a bit of fun without risking exactly this happening.

In a roundabout kind of way this reminds me of a story I heard about Ross Lyon and Anthony Morabito. I think it was the preseason after Anthony’s first knee reconstruction and he’d booked himself a trip to Bali immediately before the players were to return from their main break. All in accordance with club rules.

Ross sat him down and asked which player he most wanted to model his game on, to which Morabito replied Chis Judd. He then asked if Morabito thought Chis Judd would be booking a trip to Bali while rehabilitating from a long term injury. That was the end of the Bali trip.

I have no issues with anything the players do in their personal time until it either reflects poorly on the club or effects their ability to perform on field. We’ve had a bit too much of both column A and column B recently.

This should absolutely be a factor. It doesn’t do Ollie or the club any good to have him captain of the rehab group.

Even if it’s only Jonas for 1 season that has to be a far better option.

damn …
fudge ...
#*@*

If Ollie is out for a period of time then Rockcliff might have to play centre or Atley or one of our excess of inside mids ?

maybe from left field we can play Burton in the Midfield !!

I even wonder if Trengove is ready to cover for Ollie if needed ?

if the cows can have old man Gibbs, or 1/2 time B Couch in their midfield then maybe we can even try the younger Boak or (the better ;)) Hammer in the Midfield !!
