True story about Bubble O Bill.

Back in the 90' a man was pulled over after eating a few of them and produced a positive breath test as a result.

He was charged with drink driving and contested the charges adamant he had nothing to drink that day.

The matter went to court where the man explained his story to the judge.

The judge ordered the police breath test him there and then where he blew zero.

The judge then adjourned the case whilst a clerk if courts was sent to buy some Bubble O Bills.

The man then sat in the court room and ate 3 of them 1 after the other in front of the judge.

He was breath tested 15 minutes after finishing the last one and blew a similar reading to that he was charged with and subsequently acquitted.

FWIW apparently too many cherry ripes can also cause a high reading.
Can attest to cherry ripe I left work (hospital night shift) drove home en route crashed car then got taken back to work as patient. Wife gave me cherry ripe then I blew .10 on breath test.

Ok let's try and keep this thread fairly on topic please.
It's a sticky thread for training reports

I see what you did there.

Btw don't drop your pollywaffle at a pool party.

Yeah I wasn't making a joke. The thread is stuck so its always at the top of the board. Many posters read it for updates on training and off topic banter annoys them

Please oh please, let this be a training thread!!!
As Bugs 1977 posted I wonder where all the mods are???

Same place they were on Sunday on the Australian Open forum. I know not everyone loves the Joker but to liken him to Hilter (delib?) probably deserved a quiet word.

No training today. There will be a report coming from me later this week.

Yes so I hear. Oh and word has it that Clarko is a HUGE fan of your training reports Axeman. True story…

I believe there isn't any training today
Guessed as much. They have really slacked off since Jack Russell departed.

Having said that, I bet their golf handicaps are looking awesome

A couple of questions for anyone who attends training or for anyone who knows the answers for that matter.

Where is Nash playing? He was being a sort of third tall in the games he played at senior level, but I recall thinking he looked better in the VFL as a winger.

Also I would love to know the general consensus on Miles it seems like we aren't super keen on him, trying to trade him etc. When I thought he plays a great brand of footy. Does Impey playing more time on the ball mean Miles would be a mainstay on our best 22?

Also haven't heard a lot about Mohr, how does he go in 1 on 1s and match sims?

I like how you think that not training outside at Waverley means they aren't training

Also recovery is important, season is a marathon, long weekend etc etc

Yeah I would’ve thought being a full break of both bones that he’d be in a full leg cast not just compression bandages or am I just not with the times on how they do these things. Either that or both bones weren’t fully broken and as bad as it was it’s not as bad as it could’ve been. Glad to see him happy and in good spirits anyway.

Different injury but a similar result, surgery on a broken bone with a rod inserted, it quite normal these days to use just a small bandage.

My brother recently broke his humerus it was a bad break the 4th biggest bone in your body.
They placed a titanium rod in his arm, after surgery he had no plaster and was just in a small bandage with a sling for a few weeks.

The scar is hideous a few months later he is doing gym work and build the muscle back up slowly :)

Yeah - he was almost played like a really tall defensive forward but chuck in a few clunks and goals and I would be pretty happy with him there. Great speed and agility for his height. Could be a Buddy type (and no I’m not saying he could be as good cos no one ****ing is :()

A 6 month injury from all reports, so from that he should be able to begin training mid June, and would be right for the pointy end of the season.
That's my mail too. Our ladder position mid year will depend on if we roll him out this year or not.

Or they could train heaps and break their legs in tacking drills

Note to self: start using emoticons when you are being facetious :sleepy:

Morning all, can confirm Impey has lost a few kgs and is primed for a big year.
Remember the Easter Monday game where he took on 2 Cats opponents and just ran off without even being concerned about getting rundown, expect a lot more of that. He’s in ripping knick and vying for best pre season to date along with Nash and Worpel.

Really enjoying the sister dating a hawks player, I’m a kid in a candy shop
