From what Ive seen, hes pretty quick, strong at the contest, tenacious, disposal not great. He's been carrying an ankle for 12 months but is fully fit and reaping the rewards of a full preseason now. I'm hoping we're trying to turn him into a run with player, dont think we need him in the position hes been playing as we have a plethora of players who can play in that HHF slot. Excited to see what the coaches have in mind, he's definitely having a positive impact on the track
That’s good to hear. We have too many bad disposers of the ball so hopefully he isn’t just another replacement for another bad-disposing midfielder.

But, as you said, there have been many positive reports and I am surprised with how many there are about Weller so far.

Well it's now official..................................

footy starts next month and so does Autumn and about ******* time i say, screw cricket and summer.
Summer starts now, will be a nice warm pleasant Autumn...

I just finished listening to the audio of players from the camps on the Richmond website. Doesn’t sound like we have done a lot of training with the new rule changes (6-6-6 etc.) and it sounds like the training was intense, but not as much as the last two seasons. I am OK with that if that means they don’t burn out at the end of the season.

Having said that, I am going to backtrack and say that this upcoming JLT games may not end up meaning a lot for us unlike the two previous seasons depending on how far we go with becoming accustomed to these changes beforehand and how far our opponents Melbourne and Hawthorn go.
Sounds like we are going to field a strong squad, but remain in training mode trying a couple of things rather than being in consolidation mode like we previously were in the last 2 pre-season series.

Everyone will have to play by the rules.
We have a relatively strong midfield and that is one of the keys to success.
One of the great teams in history was the Brisbane Lions.
Midfield of Voss, Black, Power, Akermanis.
Hopefully, Prestia returns to 2017 form.
It was interesting seeing the highlights of the Sydney match.
To be honest, there were a couple of incidents when Alex Rance looked out of sorts.
Hopefully, he will recover his 2017 form too.
We all know what he is capable of.

Bit concerning that they haven’t trained much for the 666 crap .

Dont need to. It was implemented to stop richmond - We dont need to stop anybody

Right guys just wait this side of the line until ball is bounced then everything as usual

Let them worry about it

Defenders stay on your man just in case a quick clearance

Forwards try get off your man just in case quick clearance

It’s not rocket science
I think people are over thinking it

I’m giving the AFL the benefit of the doubt and saying that they know it won’t change anything, they’ve introduced it to appease the whingers.
AFL ain't that smart

I thought the same, especially considering that we went with a 6-6-6 set-up only 3% of the time last year according to Champion Data. To be honest though, I don't know all the details of their training regime so I'll trust the club on this. Hopefully it is something that can be picked up easily and hopefully the worst that comes out of this is a slowish first couple of games in our season. I'm confident we'll adapt fairly quickly with a couple of matches under our belt with that set-up.

Im honestly looking foward to this 6 - 6 - 6 thing

Thinking about Lynch & Jack in the foward line 1on1 with their man

Best ruckmen in the league nank and soldo tapping it down to the best midfield rioli shedwardo dusty cotch prestia jiggins chaos balling it into the best forward line in the league lynch jiewoldt and George comstanza caddy and bolton
