He's not wrong though. Cummins was a tearaway and now he's not. It was an observation not a critisicm

He probably doesn’t have 150 in him anymore, but he still hits 145 with an effort ball (he did just this over), not exactly pedestrian.

As the openers dig in, those dropped catches are starting to look brutal.
They are batting well, and if they held those catches could have been looking at a first innings lead if this pitch is a lifeless as it seems right now. A lot can change mind you.

Even when we're 500 runs ahead, half this forum always find plenty of things to moan about.

Make hay while the sun shines and some such...

England are hardly setting the world on fire and I'd rather 26 year olds with decent state form getting centuries than old stages like Shaun Marsh who is the epitome of underwhelming.

I'd have to say Australia has the worst test match wickets in the world now. Melbourne is shit, The Sydney wicket sucks. Adelaide is a great day night venue but horrible as a day test.

I'd much rather watch Australia play away from home now than at any venue at home except Perth if it's a day test

Bit harsh on Adelaide. Decent wicket to play on and the ground looks pretty good in my view.

The only negative I see is it might be a little small but thats a matter of opinion really

Time to give the fifth bowler a trundle, I mean its the reason Marnus is in the side isn't it? It sure isn't for his batting.

And?

He’s completely re-engineered his action after back surgery.

He’s taken about 85 wkts @ 20 and is close to the #1 ICC test bowler with this action/pace.
Yeah not criticising him in fact I'm aware of his great form, just completely different to watch since I last remember him.

His away averages are:
Ban - 62.75 from 4 innings.
Eng - 37.07 from 15 innings.
Ind - 24.25 from 16 innings.
NZ - 13.00 from 3 innings.
SA - 63.33 from 12 innings.
SL - 27.17 from 6 innings.
UAE - 59.75 from 4 innings.
WI - 26.90 from 10 innings.

Just for interests sake, Shane Watson averages 36.71 in England from 21 innings and he was always widely panned.
Good thing we're playing in England then, not in the West Indies or India.

Watson often batted well in England often, above his overall average. Similar to Warner away conversion was the issue. He actually averaged over 40.98 from 52 innings as an opening batsman, which he did quite a bit in England. He got worse the further down the order he went. He actually averaged 42.49 overall against England so must've enjoyed playing against them.

Anyway, I digress. Warner averaged 46.45 last series with 5 x 50's. As I said, 23 times over 50 overseas, compared to 27 here, difference being conversion. That you can't argue with. If he averages 46 again i'll be very happy, so will everyone else. Say what you want, they a decent figures.

Not talking about the venue itself I'm talking about these drop in wickets. They are the worst in the world to watch cricket on

Cricket at its ridiculously pointless best. One team makes it impossible for itself to lose on day 1 against a completely overmatched opponent and yet the game will go on for another 4 days, with the only 'tension' whether or not the other team can hold on for a draw (and still lose the series).

We're masochists and not very bright for sitting through any of it.

This is not on, seven..

When you consider that the Channel Seven team doesn't know anything beyond the walls of their office, this statement makes sense.

That, and the copious amounts of their own farts they sniff, which must contribute to the tripe they "write".

Pack it up lads, this subforum is changing to Baseball.
