That's very good actually, the Crows seem to be the best with sponsors integrating into the guernseys unlike A-Mart with Essendon for example. I wonder what the clash guernsey is going to look like with Optus on the back though:think:

My guess would be that teal-like colour they use, which would be a bit of a shame to have what is essentially a Port colour on our jumper. We might convince them to use navy blue like Toyota were.

Port don't wear teal anymore, their jumper is even officially listed on their site as "Black/White/Marine", no issues.

First time Toyota has not filled all the spaces on the jumper, that’s interesting. Let’s just hope they get no internet coverage rights, they already have butchered the EPL and Soccer World Cup.

Not the first time. 2009 EF

Optus’s bluey colour for the clash according to this pic. Also on the shorts which I somehow completely overlooked when I read the article.

Logos are heatpressed for the announcement, hopefully we get sublimated ones by the time the season starts.

Call it what you like, but lets be honest its still teal. I guess the Optus one looks a bit more like a light blue, less of a greenish tinge.

That's what it is called on your club store, 'marine' would be more of a blue colour than a teal which is more green, just trying to point out that what port wear and the optus logo are different colours, to set crows fans at ease. Not really sure why you are so protective over it anyway, don't you guys want it gone?

The point that I was trying to make is there is a massive difference between the light blue that port wear and the practically green colour that optus use, so much so that port don't even officially list it as teal anymore which would have more green in it.

You know that is a mistake made by outside contractors in a tiny insignificant item description. What a weird thing to base your assertion on.
Every colour has a 'range'. Who cares if a company uses teal, should Port reject any sponsor that has one of the primary colours for the same reason?

Nobody wants teal gone, just use it as a tertiary or away colour.

Yep, about as inoffensive as you could hope. Four year deal, also covers the SANFL team and womens team from next year. Hopefully a sign they’re in for the long haul. Its been nice to have just one sponsor for so long, I hope we don’t start chopping and changing now.

It's been similar with the Cats, the only sponsor to appear on our playing jumpers has been Ford (and our shorts were Ford from 1993-2006 too). Would be strange to see something else on the jumper, although I am a fan of Ford advertising particular models (Ranger Raptor, Everest, Mustang) on the back of the jumper similar to what the Crows used to do.

From a commercial aspect, I don't think it would be the worst thing if the Cats got a big name company (like the Crows have with Optus - Telstra perhaps?) on board to help with the finances, especially if we are trying to phase out gaming. Ford's partnership and loyalty to us has been fantastic (especially when the club was on it's knees in the late '90s - Ford pretty much saved us by paying their sponsorship upfront so we could pay everyone), but I think we may rely on them too much and a second Major Sponsor wouldn't go astray

why? I'm just trying to point out that it's not the same colour that port use?
just a pedantic post about colour definitions for no reason lol. I'm sure crow28 doesn't actually care if a teal sponsor logo appears on your jumper and despite what an outsourced descriptor of our jumper says, we're still officially teal, black and white.

I feel like Optus really missed a trick by not taking over from SGIO with West Coast.

Great deal for the Crows though.

I did initially think that as well with the Optus stadium connection and all, but end of the day the stadium would give Optus enough penetration into the Western Australian market. This was probably the most cost effective way to get in to the SA market during the AFL season.

Numbers look sublimated too, and there's no GPS pouch on the jumpers. I'd say these are just some retails that have been used for the shoot, and I'd back ISC to have them ready for the JLT/Round 1

It looks like they're building a presence across Australia. WA has Optus Stadium, Victoria has the Melbourne Stars, SA now has the Crows. Wouldn't surprise me if they move into the NRL to appeal to NSW/QLD

Well Telstra's deal as naming rights sponsor to the NRL is finishing up soon.
