Geez after watching the Adelaide practice match. It’s like we are a different team. Quite amazing what a win and some confidence in your forwards does. Ours are the quickest in the league.

I’ve been pretty critical of Donnellan in the past, but that was her best game in 3 years. Not numbers wise, but selflessness, bumps, no cheap possessions, contesting very hard, repeat efforts. Nice to see!

She outworked her opponent, opposition clubs usually try and shut her out of the game but she got a longer and longer leg rope as the game went on.

Yeah, it actually makes Cowan look bad given the team's ability to win the clearances consistently but fail to get the results. This year it's a simple gameplan based around winning the ball at stoppages and getting it forward. Generally there's no pissing around with the ball in the backline, which was a feature of the team for the first couple of seasons.

Yep if the finals were next week it''d be 1st vs 7th and 2nd vs 6th with Freo (3rd) missing out. The AFL will really be hoping it balances out over the next few weeks. Freo plays North in round 7 which could be a huge game for them.
