That’s the point; their website doesn’t want you to think, just have Jesus as the answer to every need.
So no planning for the future in terms of policy or infrastructure as “Jesus will provide”; no vaccination herd immunity as “Jesus will prevent me getting disease”
I have no issue with religion being a personal code of conduct (generally not being a dickhead) but when it influences policy, or used to force other people to do things then it is no longer faith but another way to abuse power.

When you think they can’t possibly lower the bar for stupidity one of them comes out with this...

Is Laming the bloke who keeps "mashing lefties" on Facebook and arguing with a meme page?

You need some faith....+ 1

Just got an automated message from Greg Hunt.
Report it as spam; on basis that you cannot be sure it is from him with the recent data hack.

If you get it again, record it then play it back to him.

That is what I am going to do next time I get a robocall from any politician.

Hillsong Scotty will be able to choose the very best rocks to take into parliament now

What a dopey looking campaigner

I have always wondered why his hands aren't black. I doubt he knows what fixative is and none of them could use a brush. Maybe it is not even real coal
Only one port

‘But Medicare’ seems to be the go to excuse for any amount of low blow right wing shit

The race to the bottom is a phrase USED by both sides to excuse their own sleaze (when caught), mediscare is perhaps one of the best examples that you seem to give 'a pass'.

Mediscare is a bit like a scare campaign that says labor party equals mass strikes/ industrial action. Plausible because of the history of party’s previous behaviour even though not reflecting current policy. So it is seen as part of normal politics.

What hurts liberal party is
- appearance of corruption (paladin, hello world)
- infighting
- history of trying to claim “we are responsible for the banking RC” even though they blocked it and denied the need
- misrepresenting labor’s franking credit changes as an attack on pensioners
- being in the hot seat when things downturn (even though not necessarily their fault)

To owe in the world of politics is corrupt on occasions but not always?
The ability of the rusted on to slag the opposition whilst denying their own culpability.

The Libs today are a result of their own dismal leadership & policy failure.

I’m happy to slag off both sides. I will be here after May complaining irrespective of which government is in.

If Labor is voted in I just hope we have less to complain about.

Great idea, but what are your complaints, purely political or do they effect our day to day living.
Here are a few
Stagnant wages, gas and electricity prices, food in particular meat, fuel prices and cost of private health insurance that I believe affect day to day living of most households.

Private health insurance is only of real value to older people or as a tax reduction measure for high income earners. And many private hospitals can't look after you if you are very sick (and will transfer you to the publicly funded hospital)
Healthy young people often derive no value, so don't sign up
So with fewer subscribers prices go up
(of course the margins that they seemed to be allowed to make are a whole different story...)

I believe power prices are a function of flat out extortion by multinational providers. I don't know how they can be reined in.

Think that you missed a couple. Families with children or newly married couples.

Know more in those categories that have private health insurance and those that don't. Cost is about $450 plus per month and the companies are cutting benefits or making more conditions for procedures.

Exactly; and the more they cut the less reason one has to stay when we have a (reasonable) free public system. Sure not great for elective joint operations or prostate surgery but will get babies born - although not in a private room, and you need to wait in clinics for antenatal care. We went public for 2 of ours and private for the third, the main difference was waiting time to see the private obstetrician was less than seeing the GP for shared care/ antenatal clinic; admittedly got lucky with the room as a single in public.
Many private healths are pretty poor when it comes to dental (which I'm presuming is what the family with young children is using it for)
I pay $670/ month for a family (has full dental)

Bit of column A and bit of column B.
My main complaints are; energy prices, lack of action on climate change, cutting the budget of the ABC and SBS, tax cuts to big business and high income earners, cuts to education and health care in general.

The current ineptness and apparent corruption of the current LNP is just draining. No idea if Labor will be any better but as far as I'm concerned the LNP have not done anything that warrants them being in charge of the country for another term.

For me personally I've always noticed more of a change in my day to day living with state elections compared to a federal election.

Doubt it Murdoch will be trying to keep his one term promise
A royal commission into the media would unleash levels of salt from Murdoch never seen before. Would be brilliant.
