I would personally take Martin over Fyfe, just in terms of consistency, and the fact Martin is a better kicker than Fyfe.

Lachie Neale isn't in the top 50 players in the AFL? He is streets ahead of Viney and Heppell at the least.

Daniher in the top 50 after missing most of last year and not even getting a full pre season this year as well.

All Australian Breust last year not in the top 50 players now?

Essendon perspective - Interesting Daniher's 2017 was good enough for him to stay top 50 after being a non-starter for 2018, yet Merrett is out after a better 2017 and a decent enough 2018. Heppell lucky too. He had a great second half to 2018, but was woeful at the start.

Cant argue the top 10.
Pendles unders. i think he is criminally underrated
Macrae as well. Has been excellent for years now.
Andrews had a big breakout year last year, but there are players who have been as good or better for longer.
Feel Bont is a little high given he hasn't come close to his epic 2016.

Wonder if he bases this on potential, form to date or a mix of both.

Come on. He’s an excellent footballer who is deservedly ranked very highly (would be one of the first players in the league I’d add to Melbourne’s list if I could), but he does not shut down opponents.

West Coast with 6 in Kennedy (7), McGovern (11), Yeo (14), Gaff (28), Darling (31) and Hurn (39).

I think that pretty accurately reflects how most West Coast fans rate those players. It's amazing how a premiership swings public opinion, even Robbo gets it.

No Shuey is stiff, Sheed a little too. And wearing my scarf, Naitanui would make a more interesting speculative pick than Daniher, if this is a predictive 50.

McGovern at 11 and Rance at 19 is fair. Rance is good, but he's not god and gets exposed at times. McGovern had the better season.

I'm comfortable with the top 10. All in all not a terrible effort from Mark, he's had much worse.

Brown is our number #1 shutdown defenders but Laird also usually does the job on his opponent too... whilst getting plenty of the ball.

Milera & this year Smith will be the players we will try & get loose.

Weagles as premiers deserve plenty of players in the top 50.

As a wce supporter surprised to see Hurn up there. I always thought of Hurn as solid but never really stand out. Like hes on the tier of Jetta, Shep level.

I always underrate him but others overrated him.

Well Ben Cunnington is a lot better than Neale, so he is the real WTF.

Ben is actually knocking on the door of the top 10 if he goes on from last year, so to not make the 50...

I think if you would ask most west coast supporters they would suggest at their peak influence nicnat is number 1 for our side (he obviously won't be at peak for this season and rightly not on the list) however Shuey is the most important player outside of nicnat in our side. Ahead of Kennedy, Mcgovern, Yeo, Gaff, Hurn, Darling etc.
