Last time I watched the syd preview “the Duff” was sitting in a trailer munging on a pasty. Crumbs all over his gut and paper.

I've found I go pretty well on the two year old races, so I've never understood this logic.

2yo betting is easy usually. But this race is the most even 2yo i have ever seen and to top it off its on a wet track which half wont have seen. For all we know by the time the race starts the outside barriers might be advantaged.
Yes Yes Yes might get out to ridiculous odds given its barrier but i wouldn't touch anything until i saw how the track is racing

I backed Cosmic Force last week so I'm not 100% against betting on 2yos per se as long as the form is there, but there are too many variables in the Slipper for mine.

My old school rule of thumb is you want to back a Sydney horse coming off a good run (although the latter rule has gone out the window a bit in recent years).

If the fillies are much better than the colts as everyone keeps telling me then that really only leaves me with two choices - TENLEY and PIN SEC. While the former hasn't seen soft ground I am inclined to go with her over Pin Sec who comes out of a race that his historically not good enough (also assuming J Mac is higher up the Godolphin jockey rankings than Berry).

Surely its difficult for a horse like cosmic force to back up 1 week after running on such a heavy track on Saturday?
