Tim Kelly BOG - 3 VOTES. Geez I hope he does not feel too comfy over there. Want him at the Eagles in 19.
Offer up our 1st round or we draft him and cats get nothing. With Kelly being out of contract next year, we hold all the cards this time around.

It is 2019 but Geelong have leapfrogged into par with Freo as the least principled knobs in footy. They will decline this year so its good that they stole some points off a contender. I like that we wiped our gooches in their face in 92/94 and Kelly will do the same in 2020. Gooches are ugly business.

If Collingwood took their chances like they did in the grand final, they win. Instead they missed set shots. This game asks more questions than it answers. Are Geelong better? Or are they still mid tier off the back of their top six players?
Those are pretty much my thoughts as well re: why the result went the way it did. Pies botched a huge number of gettable chances.
Credit to the Cats though, they weathered it and got it done, and looked pretty good in the process. Kelly's next contract just went up another $100k

I have a great deal of time for the way Collingwood supporters handled themselves on here throughout the finals, and both pre/post Grand Final. Went over to their board to check the temperature.

In amongst a few melts and some calls for patience, there’s an interesting thread regarding their recent output vs finalists. Last 13 games against finalists:

2018
Haw 9.13.67 (L)
GWS 12.7.79 (L)
Rich 10.10.70 (L)
Geel 5.15.45 (L)
Melb 20.13.133 (W)
Rich 9.13.67 (L)
WC 12.5.77 (L)
Syd 10.11.71 (L)
—————
WC 10.10.70 (L)
GWS 9.15.69 (W)
Rich 15.7.97 (W)
WC 11.8.74 (L)

2019
Geel 9.11.65 (L)

Over the past 13 games vs finals calibre teams, Collingwood has averaged:

Goals: 10.8
Behinds: 9.1
Score: 74.2
Scoring Shots: 19.9

3-10, 74ppg.

I‘ve always bagged Melbourne due to their inability against top tier teams, but are Collingwood worth monitoring in the flat track bully discussion?

Made up by the arsey stuff in the first 1/4.

In the last we were all over them just missed so many chances.

I have never hidden my belief that they are a terribly overrated team. Lucky to make to the GF after 1 good game.

Boy oh boy, Jaidyn Stephenson with a bit of pre game philosophy.
