Switching on to a bit of gameday positivism, I'm really looking to Parkour's debut. I like what he's bringing to the team, plus it's just such a redemptive story, I love that stuff.

We can have a good win today, we can walk away from this game with our heads held high.

Need to see clean possessions, no overuse of the ball. Kicking straight. The team needs to look like it's improved on how we looked last year.
People can say that we only beat Gold Coast, but we barely beat them by 2 points last year and it was one of the wins of the year. It was scrappy and we looked pathetic.

It's round 1. We won (and looked like an improved team) 2 JLT games going into this. We were missing bigname players in those games, too.

Saints by 50 points, we'll be top of the ladder for the next week at least.

- Loves dumping blokes as they kick it
- Plays with arrogance
- Aggressive
- Can kick freak foals from the left hand side of the ground
- Can be a beautiful field kick behind a zone, gets good distance

Cons
- Loves an injury
- No right foot
- Worst overhead mark of all time, hes hilariously bad at judging the ball in flight, will run undernearth it constantly
- He always turns on his left

I hope he can string some games together without injury

Bloody pumped and anxious at the same time.
We should win, but favourites have struggled all round.
Looking forward to the debutants (Parker, Kent, Wilkie) and especially, Billings, his time to arrive is now.
I’m almost overly optimistic, and will be devastated if we lose.
I will not be back on Bigfooty if we lose, the melts will be unbearable.
Nevertheless, play with the pressure and structures we did over JLT and with our home ground advantage we should account for the Suns by at least 4 goals.

Just had a look at Gold Coast's final team for the first time, and honestly, I agree with what someone on the main board (who doesn't barrack for either team) said.

It may be about the weakest team I've ever seen on paper. At least since Fitzroy's last season.

They really are basically starting again.

Thus, we really need to be winning this comfortably if we consider ourselves any sort of football team.

Not losing should be about the last thing we need to be focusing on, unless GC just come out and play absolutely out of their skins.

Hopefully we don't play not to lose and instead play to the potential we rarely did last year.

Let's get it on.

It's a bunch of recycled misfits and a few high picks from the last 3-4 years.

Lions beating the Eagles so even if we lost this it wouldn't be the biggest upset but realistically this should be comfortable.
