Pretty cringy for the comms to be talking up a 1 point win against the Suns at home. Wright probably should've taken the shot in that case. Might've missed admittedly but still....

Still I guess you'd take a win I suppose, especially at this point in the season.

Interesting bit of play there. The free kick to Peter Wright where he was on the boundary near the end of the game; he had to go and collect the ball - walk 15 meters to the fence and pick it up and walk back....umpire doesn’t call time off and 20 odd seconds elapsed, the the umpire proceeds to call time back on when he is behind the mark

'The stuff of dreams' .... really?

Beating Gold Coast at your home ground by a point is what people dream of I guess. The pinnacle of the sport.

Missed much of the last quarter admittedly and Hanley was pretty unlucky to be called ducking but were the umpires really pro-St Kilda? Most of the game it felt they were pro-Gold Coast if anything.

MAKE A ******* CONTEST YOU IDIOT
This is what cost the suns the game! Should've been able to at least get a couple of those inside 50 kicks to ground and not let the saints mark it.

I only saw the 2nd half, but it looked to me that the countless terrible calls were both ways. I didn't think either team got much of an advantage overall.

I reckon that non-call for the high bump might get a run during the week though given it was a minute from the end and seemingly blatantly obvious.

Entertaining because it was close but niether side are making it out the bottom 6. Some really awful football at times.
Yeah I'm struggling to see either side doing too much. Most sides admittedly haven't been too impressive though.

Frees
Suns - 29
Saints - 18

Free kick count is irrelevant. It was blatantly obvious in the last few minutes who the umpires were barracking for. How the hell was that HTB?

Don’t let the ruin the narrative of the nuff-nuff brigade on here though
