And all 4 could lose to - sure you would think they would be harder at it - but all 4 were pathetic in defeat

Gawn was on SEN talking about the need to get back to being known as a physical side again next week.

But I, for one, can't wait to see Dalhaus, Atkins and Rohan start pummelling their defenders into the turf. Reckon the Dees will get a bit of a surprise come Saturday night.

Hope we give Gawn a bit of a touch up, too.

Agreed but generally teams tend to respond to being smashed by the media. Aside from Geelong perhaps.

It's very unlikely that they're responding to the media... harsh internal feedback would be the more likely motivator.

This just proves how dumb the media are today.

I've heard they've washed his shorts 3 times since last Friday and they can't get the stains out. That's a shocker, he has just done them from a stats sheet.

This is a pretty good comparisonm, it's the AFLCA votes for our match:
COLLINGWOOD v GEELONG
10 Tim Kelly (GEEL)
5 Patrick Dangerfield (GEEL)
5 Darcy Moore (COLL)
3 Rhys Stanley (GEEL)
3 Harry Taylor (GEEL)
2 Gary Ablett (GEEL)
2 Tom Stewart (GEEL)

The fact that neither coach, especially Buckley could even find a solidary vote for Treloar kinda indicates just how shocking the media votes are, and really makes you question if they actually saw anything of the match or just had a quick look at the stats sheet

I'm amazed Dahlhaus doesn't even get 1 vote anywhere. He was close to our best player I thought.

Did he provide any explanation for what he was thinking? Or an admission that he simply read the stats sheet and considered nothing else?

I struggle to understand how anyone who actually watched the game could have thought Treloar was the most influential player out there. And particularly with the knowledge that his team didn't even get the four points.

Bizarre.

That's what the media do to apply their votes.

Got to agree. I certainly had him in our top 5 players.

Oh yeah, but I was referring to the 'new blokes' brought in for the role especially - I've always rated Parfitt's ability to go both ways, it's a shame his team mates weren't the same.

RE: Rohan - I hate to be 'that guy' but I got the feeling he did a lot for pressure that wouldn't have made the stat sheet.
