Caddy has kicked 15 more goals in the two years he has been at Richmond than any Collingwood player has scored in the same time.
You Richmond fellows love your selective stats.

Just goes to show how much upside remains in the Collingwood forward mix. Exciting for Pies fans, scary for the rest of the competition.

I understand your perspective, but don't necessarily agree with it.

The only time Collingwood played Richmond in 2018 when we didn't lose multiple players to injury before half time, we pantsed you.

That's how I choose to look at it.
You beat us on the back of your first half. Your second half as far as I’m concerned was no different to the H&A. We cut the margin from 50 to 20, and were all over you. Credit where it’s due, you steadied and broke us, but you can’t say you won it because your 2nd half was better than your other 2nd halves against us.

Well I would hope so considering our top goal kickers in 2017 were Elliott, Fasolo & Moore.
In 2018 Elliott played 0 games, Fasolo 1 game & Moore only stayed on the park for 2 full games!
We had to completely rebuild our forward line. So that’s hardly a decent comparison to Caddy.

Mark Blake played in a premiership once too.

If they're really serious about inc the likes of Grigg, Townsend, and the other bloke that plays in the forward line as notable omissions they really are sinking to new depths.

Lol "He is. In seven seasons he's kicked more than 21 goals once. He's amazing. " that's selective stats, I gave you his total since joining Richmond, I don't give a shit what he kicked at Geelong.
Good luck with that upside, Caddy is our number 3 goal kicker:$

What was the final margin again? It certainly wasn't 20 points.

Still hurts losing Caddy it seems.

He kicked 46 goals last year, that's pretty much the same as the Pies losing De Goey who managed 48 last year.

Like I said, you broke us and it blew out a bit. To be fair to you this happened in our first H&A and to a lesser extent in the 2nd H&A game.
Even still we won the 2nd half. Not bad for a team that got ‘pantsed’.
AND it’s not just our games I’m using. It’s the entire season of Richmond performing well in the 2nd half, and Collingwood performing poorly.

No, my stats weren't selective. They are actually his entire career stats.

Citing career stats is the antithesis of selective stats.

I was talking about Costagna.

Well I could have said our injured 3rd string forward of this year only kicked 2 goals less than your best forward managed last year, if that makes you feel better?
Damn you pies like an excuse but hey you're still so brave.

This should be a close game given Richmond's extensive injury list and the rumours of gastro running through club ... literally running.

Collingwood by 6 points.

If you had it would have been just as meaningless and idiotic as your original stat.
Just give up with these mindless comparisons. They serve no purpose whatsoever.

Move on from 2018. Neither Richmond nor Collingwood won the flag. The Eagles won the flag and congrats to them.

The only relevance this week has is to the 2019 finals race, then the top 4, then hopefully looking for a home final.

I wonder if anyone wants to discuss this weeks game without resorting to a pissing contest about games that dont matter anymore.

Agree strongly. This is really the best we can come up with?

For mine Richmond start favourites but are far from certainties. Richmond have the edge in talent and have a stronger recent history

Pies were probably a 5-8 team last year when you look at our draw but we finished well and got marked up. Reality for us is we need to step up a bit to match the Tigers or Eagles who are the current benchmarks. De Goey, Grundy, WHE, Thomas, Stevo etc need to repeat the step up in performance they produced in 2018 and if Beams, Elliott and Moore can produce then we can close the gap.

Be interesting to see on Thurs where that gap lies and if Tigers still look ahead without Rance down back.

Can't wait for this one.

Hopefully Richmond players don't come down with a sudden case of Ebola, or whatever the excuse was the last time they lost to Collingwood.

I'm just hoping we turn up to training this week unlike your lazy bastards all preseason.
