On a related note it will be interesting to see how this scandal plays out and what effect it has on their primary vote. The rise of the Aust Cons and the resurrection of Palmer United could also have a marked impact. Of course, it goes without saying that I'd prefer all three had no influence in the Senate.

One of abbotts 1st public appearances was to meet hanson in her office when she was re-elected.

It's usually near impossible to get 80%+ agreement on any political question. Mind-boggling that Scummo is still countenancing giving them preferences.

How naive is James Ashby? Not only does he get sucked in by Al Jazeera masquerading as a fake Australian Gun Lobby but he tells the yanks 2m could buy One Nation eight senate seats and that would be enough to control the Government. That might work on a number of issues but Labor, the Libs and the Greens would join together to support gun control laws in which case eight votes in the Senate would not be nearly enough.

On the other hand how dangerous is Steve Dickson and how did he ever become a Cabinet Minister in a State Government? Has this guy never heard of Pt Arthur or Christchurch?

People will vote for who they like but surely after this Hanson's credibility is shot (pardon the pun).

As a member of staff for One Nation to PH im sure he would have a security clearance of sorts, maybe Baseline or even NV1. It was Beverley Hillbillies stuff. My question would be did the NRA actually take these hicks seriously? That they walked away empty handed suggests they were seen as the chancers they are.
