I just feel the blowtorch has well and truly been on the Dons this week and they will respond accordingly. Players like Merrett will not have two down weeks in a row. I agree with other posters they will come out breathing fire. Can we tame the dopers and stay with them? Maybe.
, they will win, i hope we
I was disappointed with last week, (I know it was a win but still). Maybe I have to give more credit to GC - I don't know. I expected a 4-5 goal win and we were just a bit rusty last week.

I worry about our midfield and being able to win it out of the centre. Hopefully Roma will justify the faith this board in particular has given him. Need Sinclair and Dunstan to lift and Acres to have a good game and impact the contest. Steven will be better for the run but according to newspaper reports will still spend some time forward to get more match fitness.

I think Bombers by about 6-7 goals - they will come out firing and lead by plenty at qtr time and we will match it with them for the rest of the game. I hope I'm wrong and happy to eat humble pie if I am but I just can't shake the feeling we're going to be brought down to earth in a big way

I agree, the paper have been all over them the whole week, even today. I think unfortunatly they will win, but i hope we don't give up and get close.

Whatever happened to the mud bath games of the old days? Roof closed for a bit of rain - 'bloody Sheilas' :p
Those were the days...

I like that Baroose (and plenty of other players generally nowadays) is setting a good example for the kiddies (and grownups) slip, slop and slapping.
(Well the slopping bit at least)

Saints team full of good blokes will win a moral and actual victory today against the injectors to the tune of 3million goals.

We need the goat and billings to play to their potential.

Billings was fantastic for the team last week (and through the JLT).
Less flash than he's previously shown at half forward sure... but far more grunt, 2 way running and consist ball winning in the middle of the ground.

Our team has a massive hole in the midfield in consistently winning contested ball and disposing of it well.
He has done a great job (doing what he can) to address this hole in the JLT and last week.

Because of our list at present- we are a much better chance of winning games with him playing like that...
rather than playing half forward and having a (30 possie + goals) blinder every 6 weeks or so.

I’d like to see some moves by Richo for once.. something like Wilkie to stringer in a lock. Stringer is quick and evasive, not good overhead. From what I’ve seen at training, he’s not bad on the mid sized forwards. Quicker than you think.

Battle to a wing, Geary or McKenzie to the forward line to shut down their run. Saad and McKenna provide all of this. Stop their half back run and stop their game. I don’t care if it’s the above, but something different today. Get innovative for once, not reactive.

This I like. +1.

Unfortunately I have my Nanna's 80th birthday when the game is on. I love the old girl, but I'll be sneaking out and watching it on the phone as soon as it starts!

Carn the Sainters!

Give Nannas (it’s add letter day today) a hug from all of us will you BirdoaMano. We need all the karma in the universe today.

The Saints should have a good win today.

Succinct, timely, positive and yet slightly understated.

You have my vote for post of the year Borderbazza!

The AFL will abolish the 6-6-6 rule next year due to Acres being unstoppable. Wait for it.

The pressure on the Bombers has not let up all week. Even today Robbos piece in the Sun was attacking them.
1st quarter is so so vital today. Need to be on from the first bounce. If we can nullify their aggression first up it could go a long way. Their aggression could work in our favour especially up forward with Parker getting under their skin.
Very nervous about this. Reminds me of the game against them in 2017. Let's just hope it is the reverse outcome!
