Just had a read of the Essendon game day thread up to 20 pages already and 50% of those were how they were burning their membership if they lose, the other 50% the usual arrogant dismissive stuff directed towards St Kilda and how their list is far superior.

Cant wait to read their melts after we beat those pricks today! Go Sainters....

Woosha will be under Fire if they lose. Richo more pressure if we lose by a fair bit. Think VDS said it earlier in the week - this game could be a coach killer.

The melts by bombers will be on an epic level though.. I can’t wait.

I'm actually nervous about this one. I'm talking finals game nervous. Just want us to win so badly.

I'm usually optimistic we can be competitive in the game.
But today I'm a bit anxious seeing how we go against another team with question marks on them.
I mean, what if we actually win!

Hurts more that teams that were up with us like Geelong never fell out of finals, Collingwood went down and came back up and the Dogs in that time won a premiership and are on rebuild number two before we have even got back to finals and have a pretty ordinary list still.

This has been one long painful rebuild. Hurts more that teams that were up with us like Geelong never fell out of finals, Collingwood went down and came back up and the Dogs in that time won a premiership and are on rebuild number two before we have even got back to finals and have a pretty ordinary list still.

Hawthorn are slowly rebuilding but they never dropped to 18 or 17 or 16.

Lions had some issue with players leaving and with their coach but since last 2/3 years their player development, coaching staff are doing amazing job and they look like an exciting team.

I hope we start playing better. I know few of our key players are down with Injuries but the current players should step up and take some leadership roles.

Bring on some passion , mongrel and start building some winning culture saints.

With Josh Bruce back from injury, I think Tim Membrey will be an All-Australian this year for the first time if he plays close to a full season. He could kick over 50 goals. Jade Gresham is another player who will be in the mix.

Hawks won a premiership in 2015. Their rebuild has been quick and have brought in some guns already. I hate them.

I think we are on a crossroad, a few players come on and we build momentum this year or players stagnate, some leave, we drop down the ladder and need to start again. I wish we could get a gun recruiter. Teams like Brisbane and the Dogs seem to find better players than us from similar draft positions.
