Would be surprised if Murphy actually got concussed

I reckon he had a delayed concussion. It could take ages for the visible symptoms of concussion to present themselves, but in the meanwhile, it is actually affecting you badly! I think that he might be an out next weekend. Losing Charlie in the second threw our structures out for most of the second half and we struggled a bit, but after half-time, we came back strong and rocked it!

But that being said, After a bit of a shocker in the second, we fought back well and didn't drop our heads. SPS is looking immense right now after finally having a full preseason. That clearance where he slipped a tackle and then leaped over a Port player who tried to trip him was sheer magic. Walsh was a little down on his performance last week, but will improve. And the side as a whole are starting to gel together.

The umpires seemed to be ignoring blatant throws by the Port players and letting some good holding the ball decisions go. There was one in the middle in the last which should have been paid, but the umpire signals play on. The problem is that they are under instructions from the AFL to keep the game moving as much as possible so they let these things go.

Jones is uncoachable. He is as good as we got but not the future Why? Fullbacks can not lose their feet 12 times a game

Fasolo- Not a long term prospect. 2s for him. He is making a laughing stock out of Andrew Russel
Must not bring charlie back until he is 100%
Coaches must take responsibility for skill errors and body positioning. We played good wet weather footy

Today showed me though, even this early on in the season, that we need a 5-6 "key pieces" to put into that side in order to probably get us where we need to be. Im talking players already in the system who will foster the development of our kids/young core even more and start getting us the W's. This is the next step/phase for us and it needs to start this year, which I'm sure it will.

Polson was good today apart from that selfish part.

We still look too slow....the only really quick players we have are Fisher, cunningham, sps and polson and gibbons...and they looked slow today...is it just me lol....agreed Garlett is a forward and is lost in the backline.....Weiters is an absolute gun, and has his confidence back......sps is gonna be a gun...still havnt found the player to chop out Cripps....the only way to attract players like that is to string wins together, hopeing this comes soon...

I think we looks slow because we aren't clean. We rarely get to hit full pace because the handpass is always at our feet or behind. SPS isn't quick at all i dont think, he's just clean. Fisher is both.

Because he’s one of our few players who have the ability to find time and space to execute.
When a guy stops, composes himself, and still nails an opponent lace out, it’s very hard to watch.
Want to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was concussed.

Just simply not a very good team right now but you can see parts of it coming together. Only thing is watch what opposition teams do to work hard to space and use smart lateral and 45 degree options to break it up. Port ran harder to their gameplan as did Richmond last week which got them the win. Carlton don’t do that right now but that’s the yardstick to get to. Unfortunately I’m tipping we will get destroyed by much better teams who can execute with skill almost on autopilot. Could be a few ugly games for this team this year.

Yeah Murphy was below average and a “pick-6” turnover merchant today but he has been doing that for years. What’s most damning about him is 2 total tackles in 2 games. That’s pathetic especially from an ex captain and that today was a tackling type of game in the conditions, and he stays out of it, He doesn’t want to get his shorts dirty. Compare that to the ever maligned Thomas who gives it it all and goes in hard. The other players would have every right to question old cap after the game about his contribution.

Polson was pretty good today and Really made the most of his opportunity I thought. Hopefully C. Curnow comes up alright. Weitering is having a very good start to the year. He must miss having Marchbank as a second quality marking tall down there. Coming of age year for McKay - really showing what he can be capable of. SPS has elevated to where we would expect and thought Dow was useful to help Cripps.

Sydney will be looking to next week with anticipation to right a few wrongs. Plowman is making Jones look like Weitering.

Why does everybody want to focus individuals? It’s a team game ffs. There are plenty of less than satisfactory outcomes in a game of footy and you want to focus on a few guys.

His opponent totally dominated the game. Phillips gets absolutely monstered where it counts, the occasional contribution around the ground shouldn't disguise that fact.
