On one of the radio shows Hird mentioned he's spoken to 3 of the players this week.

He's white anting again, like he did to Matthew Knights. Clear as day.

**** it.....what is the worst that could happen? If we can’t compete we might as well be hated campaigners rather than just pitied and walked over.

I can almost feel the next Hawthorn 3 peat...

Just leaving marvel now. They were terrible tonight. If you get a chance to watch the first quarter, don’t.

Multiple handpasses to no one at all

I’ll say it again - multiple times a bombers player hand passed to no one.

Will get ugly for the bombers if the don’t beat go dees next week
I’m just going to quote my own post for two reasons
1. Had quite a few whiskies
2. They really did handball to no one at all multiple times - have never seen that before at afl level

They should be concerned, very concerned.
I would be if I was an Essendon board member.
Because the same supporter base that voted for them to be a their leader.
Also believes that John Worsfold is the wrong type of person to lead them and that they would prefer to have James Hird.

I must have missed the part when Hird was a tactical genius when he was coaching

Highlight yesterday was two players running away from the ball letting the Saints player have a clear run at it
Haven’t even seen that in local footy
His average losing margin against Clarkson was 12 goals. :poo:

The entire coaching myth around hird is based on essendon’s performance in the first half of 2012...when they were on performance enhancing drugs. In that season they didn’t play finals. They did win 3 additional games in 2013 but by the end of that season they looked shot and eventually got their points stripped. This is the one and only season he coached to a winning record in a season. Hird has worse than a 50% win percentage across his career and has never coached them in a final. But yes I can see why the scum would want to bring back hird....

The question I would like answered is which 3 players, and was he advising them how to improve their performance or contract it?

I particularly loved the bit where 2 Bombers ran off to the bench, leaving the Saint who had just received a free to stroll towards the FWD 50 without any pressure.

I LOL

I believe it's a new play called 'the Hirdy' - run and seek shelter whilst making someone else take responsibility. It's been well practiced.

This is exactly why they need to bring him back, maybe if bomber isn't in jail they could give him the call up and they can finish what they started in 2012. They can finish destroying the club from the inside.

Fingers crossed.

So difficult to tell the difference between Lord Blackadder and Lord Albert. Please tell me they're about to film a new series...

Throughout each series, Blackadder is a self-serving, cynical opportunist concerned solely with increasing his own influence, status and wealth.

each Blackadder is generally cynical, charismatic and intelligent. While he is haunted by bad luck, he is usually very capable of manipulating his way out of a crisis and in securing for himself some degree of prestige and fortune. Blackadder is also usually one of the few intelligent people present at any given time and is usually surrounded by incompetent, slow-witted servants, equals and superiors. As a result, he possesses an acerbic wit and is usually prepared with numerous quick put-downs, which are often wasted on those at whom they are directed.

He is frequently present at some of the defining moments of British history, but usually views his contemporaries with unbridled contempt, regardless of their historical importance or interest. He is also generally dismissive of the contemporary arts and culture in the various eras in which he lives,

Just a slight correction - Essendon did make the finals in Hird’s first season as coach (2011) - they finished eighth, and were belted by Carlton in the elimination final. Everything that followed can probably be traced back to that game.
