We owned the game at the start of the quarter with beautiful transition. Disappointing end to the quarter but I back us to get away again.

First quarter thoughts:

• O’Meara looked a class above
• We started well but a lot of that quarter was spent trying to repel the Bulldogs from attacking. We just made the most of our opportunities when presented
• We’ve had good ball movement but also some real howlers that are killing our ability to exit defensive 50. Multiple offenders and somewhat attributable to the rainy conditions
• Frawley needs to be instructed to handball
• Scully not a heap of the ball but has had some quick handballs and his tackling effort has been good
• Caleb Daniel is killing us with creative disposal, very smart player
• Ruck advantage isn’t as obvious as expected - both McEvoy and Ceglar are fumbling
• Free kick count is 8-1 (guess in whose favour lol)
• Need a collective lift from our midfield unit. O'Meara prominent, Worpel decent but everyone else lacklustre
• Scrimshaw quite good
• Score: 26 (Haw) to 22 (WB)

We've been average to be honest. A lot of one way running in the midfield is making it easy for the Dogs on the transition. Defence looks shaky, no one staying down and all being drawn to the ball far too easily.
Can't buy a free kick either.

Dogs getting sucked off good and proper, yeah they have had more of the ball but we only need to touch them and it's a free. The Ceglar free was soft as butter. Impey was bloody dumb with that last free. Halved the contest than goes with the sling to ground across the shoulder. It's stupid stuff like that which enrages Clarko.
