He is tracking well. Fantastic upside. Some quality moments over the last month. Balanced view though - he didn’t go hard enough in a few crucial moments. But not hanging him as this modern world is prone to do. Must persist and hopefully we have a proper ‘coach’ helping him work through these deficiencies.

68% TOG.

The evolution of this man will be to increase that number by resting forward. His ceiling is higher than any other on this list.
So it should be, hes pretty much a genuine top 3 pick, hes starting to stack up VERY favorably against cerra, dow, rayner, stephenson and braysure. Although stephenson is a harder comparison given he is a fwd and the rest are mids.

He’s basically the second coming of Pendlebury.

Watch his game again, he barely ever misses a target, always takes the right option, has a wicked side step, athletic, big and naturally accumulates. Forget Rayner, Stephenson, Dow, Brayshaw, Cerra etc he’s already gone past every single one of them, and we should be shoving it up the ass of every oppo supporter and media pundit who stuck it to him last year.

He will win a Syd by 2021 and will be a 3+ AA midfielder.

Absolute monster in the making.

He needs to be the second choice center square midfielder after Cunnington, he just wins balls others can’t.

I just know every time he wins the ball, he’s taking the right option and he’s hitting the target.

It doesn’t matter if by foot or by hand.

He’s absolute silk.

This is what's been so highly touted about him and you pretty much nailed it, he's got all the accuracy and poise of Pendlebury with the in the coalface get the ball out of a contest extraction like Josh Kennedy with his own unique tools like his sidestep ability.

You just cannot teach that, if you can it'd take forever to drill in. For a guy of 19 years of age and just under 70% game time to pull out a game of 26 disposals, most of them contested, 5 clearances, 5 marks, and 5 inside 50s with 2 goal assists. That's legitimately unreal. Few of his peers in the same draft year have gotten these kinds of numbers.

And what's better his, he can go even further. The sky is the limit with this dude, and he's my favorite player right now (obviously) for that reason. He's just so damn good, and we'd be wise to put him forward as the future for this club in a Shaun Higgins type leadership role.

His best trait is is his disposal, he’s genuine silk, in a guy with all his other tricks and skills, it’s what is going to make him next level (like it does Pendlebury)

After Scotts's presser today, it sounds like Ziebell is going back into the guts so Luke best learn how to play forward pocket.

Right on pykie- should be in the guts before Tyson who should only play if cunners or LDU aren’t in the side.
Ahern should be in for Dom

Begins to play well under his natural position.

1 game later gets moved out of it to make way for a player who's an average midfielder, and will get less numbers and less centre clearances.

Yeah sounds about right for Scott to hinder development.

LDU is absolutely the highlight of 2019 so far. He wants the ball - missed the goal in the forst but he wanted to take the shot. We knew he had the talent, we didn't know if he had the desire. Now we know, and it is bloody exciting!

I agree with all of this, but want to add something. He looks to also have that initial break away speed that Pendles and JPK lacked. There are obviously times he looks a bit gassed, but he's only in his second year, so that can be forgiven! But his pace looks like something that will improve year on year. He just looks to be the whole package. Really exciting!

CT: "Luke Davies-Uniacke best game as well."

Scott: "Yeah, Luke was very good, We are putting a lot of responsibility on his shoulders, but we feel he is ready for it. It's not purely about giving him an oppurtunity, it's because he has worked really hard and he's a genuine inside the centre square option for us, he had a good game."

He probably won't get the nom this week due to Constables game down at the cattery, but the whole LDU, Brayshaw & Cerra discussion is starting to gain some perspective. I am drooling as to what he will deliver in 4-5 years time.
