Let's hope the boys learn from yesterday and bounce back. Got a real ought 7 semi final vibe last night and we recovered OK from that!

Hoping Shiels and Burger's injuries aren't too bad. Also hoping Wingard is good to come in! And double hoping Scully has pulled up without soreness

We might see Mirra come back in too, match up wise.

Would be thrilled with 4-2 the way we are going. Geelong should be our only loss. Unfortunate injuries mean that Wingard needs to be back this week as does Howe. Nash Shiela and Silk would be the obvious outs. Possibly one of Lewis, Moore, Mirra or even young walker to get a shot. We need pace and midfielders asap!

One loss and the world ends, didn't miss this.

The most likely outcome seems:

Outs: Shiels, Burgoyne, Nash (possibly)
Ins: Howe, Wingard, Lewis

Mitchell. Then shiels. Then Burgoyne injured?

That’s plan A plan B and plan C

What does D look like?.. O’Meara better grow up quick

O’meara And Burgoyne are the only mids who can get a clean clearance. Our midfield depth is going to kill us. Worpell has been outstanding but we can’t expect him and Omeara to shoulder everything. Worpells still young and will get run down, we don’t know how omeara will hold up with the extra pressure and work load.

I know Howe plays a defensive role but we need to start getting some attacking out of him. Whilst Shiels is injured he doesn’t attack enough either imo.

I think we’re in trouble and will be for the season just because the lack of mids we can rotate through the centre. Whilst it wasn’t the plan Wingard is going to have to spend some minutes in the guts at some point.

I also think the next time we play a team where our ruck dominates theirs in the hit out department we’re better off going with just McEvoy and bring Mitchell Lewis in to pinch hit occasionally. Atleast he is a tall who can make a competitive contest. Roughies pack marking days are done and wasn’t ever his strong suit.

I agree bring Howe Wingard and Lewis in
Shiels burgoyne and Nash out.

Could accelerate the development for next year though. We still have a lot of outside oomph. I’ve been really surprised we haven’t tried to tempo much this season so far. Maybe the plan is to hone the new game style in early rounds, then let rip later

Surely we don't send a tag to Cunnington, the bloke doesn't move. Let howe play on him at stoppages but it would be a waste sending a tag to a statue when howe could just run off him... Higgins or Polec cop a tag for mine.

Im not sure what the go is with Jono Ceglar. I've seen him clunk contested marks up forward before but he seems to have lost confidence/not be in the right spots anymore.

In. 4 qtr effort and decent umpiring
Out. Arrogant mindset,sloppy skills

In: Wingard, Howe and Mirra

Out: Burgers, Shiels and Nash.

I think Sicily really needs to play third man up to be most effective, his skills are lost if he's just defending one on one.

This sounds right to me. I'm not sure Nash will come out, though. If not for the two injuries then I think for sure he goes down to the VRL, like Worps at the beginning of last year, but there will be the need to steady the ship (especially the midfield). Maybe adding Mirra back in defense will reduce the pressure on the midfield a bit.

Ok, I've come around to this suggestion. It seems pretty reasonable to me.

You’ve nailed it. I can’t cop 1 tackle from Nash. Needs a spell.

Sadly I think he’s international level wingman in union, if I was him I’d be having my manager contacting the Rebels.

My Changes

Wingard Howe Lewis in
Burgoyne Shiels Nash out
I
Wingard fit, comes in for Burgoyne,Howe fit, for Shiels and Lewis for Nash, need someone who can take a Mark in the forward line
Think Lewis can be the lead up forward that Schoenmakers did well last year. Look good in JLT, so deserves a game,
I thought he should of got picked ahead Nash in Rd.1

Morrison on notice. Mirra could come in for him
