Liam McBean with 8 goals so far against the calves, sounds like fogarty playing in defence and getting an absolute bath.

...edit, as above.

McBean 8-0
Criws 6-6
Is a tight contest
I'm not going to get too cocky about that result yet as I'm not that confident the Maggies will do that well tomorrow. South looked amazing last week, and our side has gotten a bit weaker.

Melbourne have to work so much harder for their goals. And that's because Essendon are such an outside team that it's exposing their lack of run.

Let's put it this way - in three quarters, Melbourne have 4418 meters gained from 78 sprint efforts, whereas Essendon has 4766 meters gained from 37 sprint efforts.

Essendon has run 8 km less than Melbourne.

There are certain teams that just match up well with other teams. Even if both these teams were up and running, it would be a matter of Melbourne winning on the inside vs Essendon winning on the outside.

Exactly what I was just saying to the wife.

You saying it's wrong?

I'm saying your view that every team plays to the same level every week and every team matches up on team x the same way to be quite simplistic. There's no margin that should be held to be the arbitrary figure to beat any team by.

Your pessimism is off the charts at the moment, I was there too.. Last year..
We will win with ease.

Do people actually give a **** if the umps bounce or chuck it up????
I wouldn't go to war over it, but I'd prefer to stick with the tradition of the bounce and the randomness it adds. Re-calling a bad bounce every now and then doesn't phase me in the slightest.

Irrelevant.. we should still be excited by how our young ones played in their first game at the MCG. No one said we will be world beaters this year with all the changes but why knock every single positive thing Port does? This isn’t aimed specifically at you.

I'm incredibly excited about the young talent on our list. Along with Brisvegas our players <23 are the best young lists in the AFL, which is incredible given the hand outs teams like Carlton and Melbourne have had compared to us. Howard, Clurey, DBJ, Bonner, Houston, Burton, Wines, SPP, Marshall, Butters, Rozee, Farrell, Hayes, Duursma, Drew, Amon.... that's a list of players which with the right development and game plans and a couple of good trades at the right time could win multiple premierships.

All I'm saying is we need to be careful not to get ahead of ourselves in season 2019 - we are currently untested.

I want you to stop caring about this and focus on things that actually matter.

Your friend,

ED

6 dollars in the 1940s was a ******* shitload of money for a six year old. Or is that the hungry Jack's ad. Nfi.
Australia didn't decimalise the currency until 1966. I'm not convinced she's a 59 year old.

I’m not convinced she would be alive at 59 eating that shit with every spare penny she collects.

The margin has nothing to do with it, it is the way the game is unfolding and the style of play that we were so impressed by, and excelled with against this team, which has now been proven in 3 games to be their absolute massive weakness. Hence meaning that what was so impressive in our ball movement V Melbourne really needs to be taken into context a bit, as they clearly can't defend that style of play at all.

If anyone could **** this up it's a team full of shagwits like Essendon.
